The secret of the Black Forest

I was feeling so weak at that moment, and I still do. That boy... Max, he  was the one who took the knife off my heart and awakened me once again from my slumber. I have to say... this was too foolish, even for a mere human being. But time runs short and I have to become strong enough, when the Black Sun comes... I must be ready to fulfill my role. That's why I have to go to the Black Forest. There is no time to waste, I must start my trip immediately. I heard from some birds some kind of monsters attacked that boy and his friends. I am sure it was him. So dors he know that I am finally awake?  He is such a foolish being, even more than the humans. My creator is the Dark priest who lives inside the Black Forest. My home is a place where dark magic overflows so much that those with wicked hearts and greedy soul loose their minds and become monsters, the same that attacked the young prince and his group. That man I once called master wanted to create the most powerfull weapon on earth, one that no human army, no matter how powerfull, could go up against, and all that while the weapon had its own will. And that's how I was born, a true freak of nature, a beast made to kill anything that went on its way. Only that he did a mistake, a tragic one no less. When I discovered why that man created me, I wished to destroy him but then he accidentally casted a spell on me, one that would make someone able to destroy everything he sees when a sun eclipse comes... whether he wanted to or not. When he did this I faced him while being enraged and careless due to my youth and because of that carelessness he placed a curse on me to make sure I never find peace even if by some miracle someone were to kill me. The curse predicted that a king of a thousand noble births would destroy me, and he would take my heart as a symbol of his power. What he didn't know was that in order for me to die there must be a knife which must be made of the eldest tree of the land where I was born. If not, then I am simply falling into a deep slumber, my heart can feel cold, hot, sadness, fear, hatred, love and happiness like humans hearts do... even though it's not connected with my body. I am able to walk as expected, but I am not  sure that I can fly yet. Perhaps I should try at the very least. I start moving my wings up and down. I am surprised to see that I am taking distance from the ground. Guess I am lucky... for now but I mustn't puss my luck too much. I have no time to waste, I am starting my way for the forest right now, if I wait who knows what can happen. Besides if I want to recover fast enough I must go there no matter what. I am not going to lose, especially not to that snake I called master.

After a few hours I could see the ocean, I am finally close enough to see the mountains of Chaos from far away. First I have to pass Cedrilciona. I wonder if that boy Max had found the first priest. If he has he must be in Callaster. As I recall Callaster is 3 days by feet and 2 if you can fly.

- Who are you? A voice said from above my head, when I looked I saw an eagle who was looking at me with curiosity.

- I am Deus the Dragon of Distraction. Who are you eagle?

- I am Carlos. Nice to meet you.

- Nice to meet you too Carlos. I can't believe he actually is talking to me without fear. This is something new to me.

- So tell me what are you doing here in the oceans of Cedrilciona?

- I am going to the Black forest. I have to pass from Cedrilciona in order to go there.

- I see. Mind if I join you? I couldn't believe he actually asked me that. Is he crazy? Maybe he doesn't know why I want to go to the Black forest.

- Yes but... Do you know why I want to go there?

- Yes I do. You are the dragon of that story I have heard in my homeland.

- You do? Well if you know then why do you want to follow me?

- Because I know that you aren't as bad as they say you are. And you must have a very good reason to go to that place. Am I right Deus?

- Yes that's true. Are you curious Carlos?
