A new era.

~Seven years later~

I had been walking the palace halls with Mark, he was beyond nervous since he was going to be a father any time soon. No sooner had our quest ended that Mark and Gabriella began seeing each other in a romantic way. Kathryn and Jason had also been in this circle but neither of them had confessed to each other, Emilia had stated clear that if they don't admit their feelings by the end of the month she'd take matters into her own hands. Though honestly, I suspect that'd had to be when she'd be able to go away from the baby. She and I got married after Eric gave me  a harsh talk about emotions, he had taken Lucia and Darkan to the Black Forest where he was expecting a baby of his own. Darkan apologized for all that he had done and offered tones of gifts to calm the Elemental God Spirits who eventually forgave him. Deus and Regina had been flying around the world, enjoying their freedom and hoping to find more of their kind. They paid everyone visits now and then. Goroh, Jasper and Luca had been staying here to along with Elena and Leon, their mother was the royal nanny and she was having fun watching the daily drama we went through.

- So what are you ready, Knight of Disaster? I said and he growled.

- Go back to your duties King of Losers. He replied and I rolled my eyes. I had been crowned king of my kingdom since my father died three years ago. I still couldn't forget how I trembled that day. I was pale as a ghost and my voice couldn't come out at all. Mark and Jasper had to drug me all the way to the throne room. The same day I also got married to Emilia and a year later we were blessed with a healthy baby girl. Her name was Isabel, the same as Emilia's late mother who had her husband join here a few days after the baby was born. Eric was a bir dissapointed and so was Lucia but that connected them until they found they had more things in common than they originally imagined. Luna and Zeo had returned back to their original homelands and they paid us a visit from time to time. 

  In a nutshell things were almost back to normal... well except for Carlos and Leo who were still following Deus and Regina everywhere. I think they never wanted their adventure to end and I believe they didn't want it to end so soon. 

- Mark!!!! It's finally here!!!! Elena said excited and Mark gulped.

- How is-

- She's fine and you have a son!!! She said with a wide smile. She had been a lot more cheerfull than before, could be due to the change of environment or due to all the happy events that had taken place over the past years.

- Okay, let me be clear about this. Your son and my daughter aren't happening. I said and he frowned.

- Why not? 

- Because if the baby is similar to you in behaviour then my daughter will suffer for the rest of her days. 

- HEY!!!

- Just kidding... but seriously your son and my daughter aren't happening. I said and he rolled his eyes.

- I bet it will happen. Mark said proudly and I scoffed.

- We'll see about that. A familiar voice said from behind and I saw Lucia, Eric and Darkan. She was holding a baby boy, I looked at them and they smiled.

- Oh no, no. My daughter will take the best and I will be the judge of that. No males allowed until I decide it's okay.

- Like she'll listen to you if she is in the slightest bit like Emilia. Eric said with a smirk and I groaned. I forgot about that. Emilia doesn't listen to others easily, you have to go through a whole new level of trials to make her listen.

- Well, if worst comes to worst I'll have headache every day in a few years. I said and everyone laughed. Emilia and our daughter joined us as we all moved to Gabriela's room where she was resting with a baby on her side.

- Something tells me that the next generation will open the gate to a new world. Emilia said warmly.

- Then we better be prepared because if there's going to be a new era, there will also be adventures. And we will be ready to face them. I said as I looked outside to the blue endless sky and waited for this "new era" to come at last.
