Luke's POV
"Did you really mean what you said back there?" I asked as Rachel and me made our way back to my car.
She nodded. "She needs to know things will change for the better. We heard her, we'll help her." She then looked at me. "Right?"
I looked away from her. "But you can't promise her things that may not happen."
"Like?"
I shrugged. "I still think mom and dad want her to change schools."
"Well we'll change that, it's about her."
We arrived at the car and both got in. Rachel put on the seat belt while I just looked at her. "Did you really mean what you said... About you two?"
She looked from me back to the front. She slowly nodded.
"You really like her, don't you?"
"I don't like her," She then looked at me, right in the eyes. "I love her." The way she said it combined with the way she looked at me really made one thing clear: she was committed to Blair.
I slowly nodded and then looked back to the front. I started the car and drove us back home.
When we arrived, we got out and entered the house. We walked to the living room, only to see mom and dad talk. But they stopped immediately when we entered, so whatever they were talking about, it wasn't meant for our ears.
"Hey." I simply said while Rachel just waved at them. "We come from Blair."
At this dad paid close attention to us, like I thought he would. "How is she doing? Any news?"
I shook my head. "Nothing."
"She's going to be alright," Rachel looked down. "She has to."
"I hope so." Dad sighed. "I really hope so."
Deciding this atmosphere wasn't that good, I changed the subject. "Rach, are you coming?" I got upstairs.
"Where to?"
I gave her look to which she seemed to understand it. She got up as well. I looked at my parents. "We're upstairs."
They both nodded and then looked at each other again, they seemed busy with something else.
Rachel and me walked upstairs. "So, what are we doing now?" She asked as we walked to Blair's room.
"We have to look for clues here."
We both looked at the door, gulping. Last time we were here together, we found Blair's lifeless body...
"Are you ok?"
Rachel looked at me, slowly nodding.
I reached for her hand and held it. I reached for the doorknob and opened the door. We both looked inside.
I looked at Rachel again, who looked frozen in place. "Ready?"
She slowly nodded.
We walked into the room together. We looked around, not letting go of each other's hand. However, after some time it got difficult so we released our hands.
Rachel looked at Blair's bedside tables and bed while I went through Blair's closets. We were both quiet while we were searching.
"She really has a lot of clothes." I said, trying to break the tension. I looked at Rachel, who didn't even look at me. She seemed to not even have heard me. "Don't you think?"
She looked up for a brief moment before looking back down. I got the hint: she was busy.
I moved over to the bigger closet, the one closest to the window when I suddenly bumped into something. I looked down and saw a bag.
I leaned down and picked up the bag. I brought it to the bed and opened it.
"What's that?" Rachel asked as she briefly looked at me.
"I don't know." I looked in the bag, there were clothes and other useless things in here. "Maybe Blair was planning on running away."
Rachel looked up at me. "Is that hers?"
I shrugged. "I guess, it was by her closet."
Rachel put everything down and then crawled to the bag. She looked inside. "Those don't look like clothes Blair would wear." She pulled a shirt out of it. She held it in front of her. "Blair would never wear this."
I looked at the other clothes. "But who's is this then?"
Rachel put the shirt back and then reached for something else. She took out a pocket knife. She looked up at me. "A knife, in Blair's room."
I gulped. "They were supposed to be gone."
Rachel looked back to the knife. She opened it and that's when her face dropped.
"What? What is it?" I tried looking at what she was looking, but she handed it to me. I took it and looked at it. On the knife, there was a label that said Willow. I looked back at Rachel. "This was Willow's... So if that's the case, that must mean..."
"Willow is real." Rachel covered her mouth. She sat back on Blair's bed, this news really did something to her.
"I know this is a lot to take in, but this is what I was looking for." I held the pocket knife tightly in my hands. "Proof. Proof of Willow's existence."
Rachel nodded while looking at the bag. "I've seen that bag before."
I looked at her. "Where?"
She gulped. "When I stayed over last time." She looked at the closet. "It was at the closet, but I didn't know it was Willow's..." That's when her eyes widened.
"Rach, what's wrong?"
She looked around.
"Rach?"
She looked at me. "Before we went to bed, Blair looked around the room."
"Why?" I looked around as well now.
"Because, according to her, Willow would hide somewhere." Rachel pulled up her knees and hugged them, she was looking for some kind of comfort.
"What do you mean?"
Rachel looked down. "She'd look for Willow everywhere, in closets, under the bed, in the bathroom... What if Willow sometimes still comes here?" She looked back up at me. "What if she's dangerous?"
Hearing that, I gulped. I always believed Willow was dangerous. I got up. "You watch my back." I said to Rachel to which she nodded.
I moved around the room. I watched underneath the bed, nothing. I opened the closets, nothing. I entered the bathroom, nothing.
I went back to Rachel. "It looks good."
She slowly nodded.
I sighed, maybe we were getting too paranoid in here. This place still felt weird. "Come," I presented her my hand. "Let's get out of here."
Rachel nodded and got up. "Maybe take the bag with you."
I nodded. "Good idea," I went back to take the bag and only now noticed the window was open... I shrugged. I walked to the window and closed it. I then took the bag and left the room. "Let's show my parents."
