Chapter 3

When I returned home 3 hours later I opened the door to my parents going psycho, my mum biting her nails pacing back and fourth and my dad tearing at his hair on the couch.

"Where the fuck have you been?" My mum screamed grabbing my jacket and throwing me into the house. She quickly released me due to my drenched clothes and wipes her hand on her jeans.

"Do you know how long you've been gone Jungkook?" She continued to scream at me, her face turning crimson.

"3 hours roughly" I said squinting my eyes. I was so tired that I started rocking back and fourth and my mum noticed.

"You think that's acceptable. A 16 year old boy arriving home at 11 o'clock after sneaking out for 3 fucking hours! Get upstairs right now you are grounded. We've not even been here a day and you're already fucking up." She was so angry that I swear I could see steam exploding out of her ears. I decided to listen to her as I wanted to save an argument and made my way upstairs. Before I could reach the top however I was stopped by the voice of my dad.

"What a disgrace."

I gritted my teeth and smacked my fists against the wall. Of course I'm a disgrace. I'm gay, I'm lonely and I lack in school. It's not my fault I was raised by horrible people that didn't take any interest in me.

I rushed upstairs and slammed my door shut, sending vibrations through the creaky floorboards. I threw myself on the bed and sighed heavily. I tried to erase the images out of my head of what happened tonight but I couldn't forget it. That girl. She was screaming so much that I could barely make out what she was saying. Her words echoed through my head and I covered my head with a pillow to block out her voice.

"SOMEONE HELP ME P-PLEASE HE'S AFTER ME"

I didn't realise what she had said until now and I widened my eyes at her words. Someone was after her, or maybe something was after her. And they were located in that forest. And the bite marks, they seemed so.... disturbing to me, I should of looked at them more and really understood what the were because it was playing on my mind.

Also that man. The tall man that exited the forest moments after the girl had. Who was he? Was he the one after her? How could I of been so reckless and so rude to someone that was obviously dangerous. I took the pillow off my face and stared at the ceiling, admiring the blank swirls that decorated it. I breathed in heavily and sat up looking around at all the boxes in my room. I opened a box that was labelled 'clothes' and unpacked a pair of comfortable clothes to sleep in. I slid out of the wet clothes and threw them on the ground, jumping sideways to avoid the splash of water. I landed in front of a window that overlooked the neighbourhood. I looked out and saw a figure in my garden and immediately I became scared. I quickly shut the curtains and threw on my clothes before jumping into bed and wrapping the covers over my head. What was that? And why was it in my garden?

I quickly became comforted by the sound of my parents shuffling around downstairs and I ignored what I had seen. I felt my eyes become heavier and heavier and eventually I became unconscious.

Here's where it all began....

"Ahhhhh." I groaned as the alarm clock rang as loud as possible, dragging me out of my sleep. I turned to the bed side cabinet and bashed the clock until it eventually stopped. I rubbed my eyes as they adjusted to the light beaming into my room. I unwrapped the covers from my body and made my way to the window. I flung open the curtains and was greeted with instant sunshine. Wow, maybe it's not so depressing here after all. I smiled at the sound of chirping birds, singing their morning melodies and I stroked my hair.

"Jungkook are you awake." My mum yelled through the door.

"Yes, yeah I am" I rubbed my face again and made my way for the door.

"Goooood because it's your first day of school" my mum smiled at me.

"As annoyed as I am about last night I'm prepared to forget about it so that we can move on and look forward to our days. Now you have 45 minuets and then I'm taking you to school okay?" I was taken aback by her kindness but I continued to do as she'd asked and got ready for the big day ahead of me.

Although every inch of me wanted to protest against going to this new school, and as much as I'd begged my parents not to make me go, I felt excited. New environment and new people that don't know anything about me, I can't wait to start afresh and have a chance to live a happy life, like a normal teenager.

After 40 minuets I bopped down the stairs eager to leave the house. I threw my very empty backpack over my shoulder and left with my mum to the car. Lakeland school was only a ten minute drive from my house so in no time we arrived in the parking lot. Here we go...
