Chapter 18

JIMIN'S POV

"Lexi slow down please I can't hear what you're saying!" I said down the phone frustratedly. She had called me while panicking but she wasn't being clear so I couldn't understand her. Whatever she had to tell me must've been bad if she's this way.

"I-I kissed someone else infront of Tae and he ran off and I tried to find him but he's literally vanished. I'm in the forest that surrounds his house please come here to help me" she sobbed her heart out but I didn't feel sorry for her.

"YOU WHAT?! Who's the boy you kissed Lex?"

"H-his names Jungkook, the one you heard us talking about when you came back to Lakeland. He triggered his inner wolf and I found him after a-and..."

"....Jungkook?" I asked her in disbelief. She couldn't possibly be talking about my best friend Jungkook could she? The one that moved from Busan to come to England? The only reason I stayed in Busan was to protect him and now this girl is telling me that he moved to Lakeland....

"Yes his names Jeon Jungkook" she stated and I felt a sense of happiness. I never thought I'd see him again.

"Did you say you were in the forest Lexi?".

"Yeah please hurry I need to find him. " I hung up the phone and grabbed my jacket and flung open my door. I knew that Taehyung had delicate feelings and for him to see his girlfriend with somebody else would shatter him, or worse, he may of switched off his humanity. I didn't know whether to feel anger or happiness at this point. My best friend is here in Lakeland but also my old best friend is heartbroken because my best friend kissed his girlfriend. What do I even do in this situation? I jumped in my car and accelerated down the road without waiting at all.

LEXI'S POV

"My friends on his way" I said as I hung up the phone. I couldn't look into Jungkooks eyes because I felt horrible about what I'd just done and I didn't want to rest my eyes on his naked body. He placed a hand on mine in attempts to comfort me, but I noticed some scars on his arm. I took his arm in my hands but I dragged it away quickly.

"What were those scars?" I asked him but he furrowed his eyebrows.

"Non of your business" he replied.

"J-Jungkook are those... cuts?" He stared at me deeply and I could see his eyes swell up from his tears once more. His tears rolled down his face and he buried his head in his hands.

"Oh my god Jungkook I'm so sorry something like this happened to you. If you want to talk about it please know you can trust me." I hugged him once more but he stayed in his position. His crying sounded painful and I held him even tighter. He eventually sat up and looked at me. He placed my scarf in his lap to cover himself over and he built up the courage to speak to me.

"Back in Busan I got bullied often. People discriminated against me and everyday I had to go to school and face their harsh words. I had this one friend who stayed by my side the whole time and he kept me strong, but when I was alone at home that's when I became weak and I didn't know how to handle the hurt I was feeling. Everyday I have to look at these scars and it reminds me of the shit they put me through and I wish I could just brush them away." I felt so sympathetic towards him as he spoke.

"Why did they bully you?" I asked.

"It's doesn't matter now, I don't want to re visit everything..." he stopped speaking once he head the snapping of some twigs. He scurried across the ground and hid behind a tree to cover his body. Jimin marched over to me and folded his arms.

"Cheating on my friend are we? Where's Jungkook?" He asked me and I pointed in the direction of the tree he was hidden behind.

JUNGKOOK'S POV

Once I heard the voice my whole body froze. There was no way...

"He's naked, I don't have anything I can give him." I heard Lexi say to the man. I heard footsteps disappear like the speed of lightning in the opposite direction and I knew the person had to be a vampire. It couldn't be who I thought it was as they were human so I relaxed myself. In an instant they returned and I heard Lexi thank them. She made her way over to me and handed me a large blanket with her eyes glued shut.

"Thanks" I said and I wrapped myself up. I stepped out from the tree and looked at the person that accompanied her. My heart stopped pumping at the moment I led my eyes on him. It really was Jimin. Every inch of me wanted to run over and kiss him but I had to stop myself. After everything that happened the last time I saw him, I couldn't just kiss him, even though I wanted to do badly.

"Hi Jungkook, I missed you" he said while smiling and holding his arms up for me to hug him. I walked over to him and he wrapped himself around me and hugged me for what seemed like forever. In that moment the world faded away, and it was just me and him. The boy I fell in love with had me in him arms once again and I couldn't be happier.

"You know each other?" Lexi asked and I'd completely forgotten that she was there.

"Yeah we do we're old friends" Jimin said and his words hurt me. The word 'friend' just wouldn't settle with me but I didn't go against it. I just kept my mouth shut.

"Ohhhh you must've known one another since you moved to Busan years ago then. Well as nice as this reunion is, I need to find my boyfriend before he goes off the rails." Lexi said irritably.

"What do you mean off the rails?" I asked and they both turned to me. Lexi took a deep breath before speaking again.

"Taehyung has another side to him. A darker side that only comes when he experiences something traumatic or heartbreaking. We need to find him just in case his darker self comes out." We all jumped as we heard the sound of a female scream at the top of her lungs. We could hear her begging for help and her words made me shiver.

"SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME" the cry sounded exactly the same as what I heard that night when I saw the girl run from the forest. Jimin started to run but suddenly stopped and turned to Lexi. He threw his car key to her.

"My cars that way. Take Jungkook home and go back to my house. I'll have Taehyung with me don't worry. Go now." He sped off once again and left us there and in no time the screaming stopped altogether.
