As we pulled up outside the school my heart started racing. There were so many different types of teenagers wandering around chatting away to one another, being oblivious to my fascination of them. It was clear that there was a separation in social class, and I could tell immediately the people I had to be wary of. There were smokers, football players, dancers and emos, all lingering round their comfort zones, staying far away from any other area that wasn't theirs.
I felt my grasp become tighter on my seatbelt as I looked upon the school I'd be attending for the next year. There was excitement, but also dread and anxiety. For some reason I felt as if this place was dangerous, and something bad was going to happen here, but yet my curiosity became a powerful emotion and I wanted to experience it for myself. I unbuckled my seatbelt and turned to my mum, she too was looking at all my fellow students in awe.
"I'm gonna head in there now I'll be fine, just make sure you pick me up at 3 please." She simply nodded at me and revved the engine. I exited the car with slight hesitation and gently shut the door before turning towards the building. I heard the car drive away behind me and I instantly felt lonely. Watching my mother drive away leaving me in a foreign place made me feel uncomfortable but yet free.
The entrance was in plain sight as it stood right in the middle of the mosh pit of teens. I walked towards it quickly, avoiding contact with as many people as possible, apart from one.
"Watch where your fucking going!" The boy shouted at me when I bumped into him. I immediately became embarrassed and scared of his reaction.
"I-I'm sorry I didn't see you" I said hesitantly.
"Well look next time." He didn't take down his hood so I couldn't see his face. He wore complete black. Black shoes, black jeans and a black hoodie. Even the slight piece of hair that I could just about see was dark. He had his hands stuffed inside his pockets and he was walking away extremely quickly with his head down. I watched him walk off and gradually run out of sight. I brushed off the anger he had spread to me and I continued towards the entrance.
I entered the school and became welcomed by a petite boy with bright red hair. I widened my eyes as he grabbed my hand eagerly and shook it roughly.
"Oh hello you're the new boy. Everyone's been hearing about you, the new transfer from Korea. Welcome to Lakeland I'm Jin." Great. People knew about me, the literal last thing I could possibly want being new and all. I awkwardly smiled at him and watched his face grow impatient, waiting for my response.
"I'm Jungkook. I didn't know everyone knew about me that's not something I like, you know attention and all." Jin simply looked at me and nodded showing understanding.
"Just stay with me and I'll help you with classes and shit. I can't already tell we are gonna be the best of friends." He leant in closer to me and his voice changed into a whisper.
"Wait till you start to find out about Lakeland, your life will change forever." My eyes became wide whilst he whispered to me. Find what out about Lakeland? My curiosity again overtook me but I didn't say anything.
Jin spent the next hour with me sorting out my class schedule and any other things I needed. We quickly realised we were in the same classes for the whole day and we were both happy. I especially felt so welcomed by Jin and I couldn't help but feel relief that someone wanted to interact with me voluntarily. He genuinely wanted to be friends with me and I couldn't help but smile.

The day dragged but Jin made my lessons fun. We spent our whole time chatting away in the back of classes and getting to know each other and it was nice. Whilst walking between classes I couldn't help but look out for the hooded boy from earlier, he never came, but the fear was constantly there.
"Right so Jungkook, you should come over sometime and I'll introduce you to all my roomates. There are 4 of us but don't feel intimated by them, they are nice guys. Just don't ever get on their bad sides" he said whilst we were walking out of school. I looked at him confused and he just chuckled.
"You'll be fine I swear." He lightly punched my shoulder jokingly.
"Is the weekend okay?"I asked him.
"Yeah absolutely. Oh shit I have to go my mates over there. I won't introduce you guys yet. Bye dude." He high fived me and scattered towards a jet black car located at the back of the car park. I scanned everywhere to find my mum but she was no where to be seen. Fuck sake, obviously late.
A motorbike came screeching round the corner and I jumped back in shock. Whoever it was stopped just in front of me with the engine still roaring.
He stared dead into my eyes, with hunger and pain. I looked down in attempts to avoid his stare but I recognised him instantly. He wore black from head to toe and he was clearly the boy I encountered that morning.
"Get on." He commanded and I didn't disobey. I feared him so much and I don't know why, just his presence gave me shivers but I didn't dare go against him. I threw my backpack over my shoulders and got on the back of the bike. I was reluctant to wrap my arms around his waste but he reached behind him and did it for me. He didn't waste any time and left immediately. He drove his bike recklessly and I forced my eyes shut. He rode so fast that I struggled to breathe, I found myself gasping for air as he accelerated down all roads. I didn't know where he was taking me but I did not question. I could not get myself back either even if I tried, I've barely lived here a day.
I gradually felt the bike come to a halt and I bravely opened my eyes. I noticed my parents car and recognised my house. My heart dropped. How did he know that this is where I live?
I got off the bike and brushed my clothes with my hands and quickly fixed my hair. The boy took off his helmet and revealed his full face. He had dark brown hair that fell beautifully across his head and warm brown eyes that could smoulder anyone's heart. He had gorgeous white skin that had no hint of colour but it complimented his appearance. He looked my up and down with the same hungry eyes as earlier.
"Let's set the bar straight. If you ever bump into me again I won't hesitate to make you regret it. My name is not important, not now at least, but this will not be the last you see of me. Don't think about me, don't talk about me and don't even look for me. Just wait, and I will come back at some point." He slammed his helmet back on his head and drove away abruptly.
I gulped hard and put my hand to my dry throat. His words haunted me and replayed through mind on a loop. I watched him become a faint dot in the distance and suddenly disappear from sight. Whoever he was he was dangerous, and I made sure I was fully aware of it.
