Chapter 27 ~ Why

~Emma~

I picked up my phone. I unlocked my phone and went threw my contacts and found Shawn. It rang a few times. "Hello?" The voice greeted. "Why would you do this to me!" I yelled. "Emma, he doesn't love you. Not like I do" he said. "Shawn I know. I know you love me, and I love you too. But not like that. Hayes is different. I've liked him for a really long time. Why would you do this to me. You know I love him" I said. "Emma, I'm sorry" he said. I hung up. I threw my phone at my door. I went over to a corner and slid down the wall. I put my head in my knees. The tears kept falling like a waterfall. I slowly fell asleep in the same position.

I woke up to my alarm. Ugh I do not wanna go to school today.. I walked slowly to my closet. I just got out a tank top, sweat pants, a hoodie, and my black vans. I didn't really care about my appearance anymore. I walked in the bathroom and put my hair up in a pony tail. I walked out and Kat stopped me. "Emma, I know your probably gonna be depressed. But you still have to look presentable, even if you don't have Hayes anymore" she said. I looked down, then I started to tear up. "Em" she said as she pulled me into a hug. I sobbed in her shoulder. "It'll get better, maybe you'll meet someone better" she said. "But we have Magcon right after school, and you have to be happy. Even if you aren't with Hayes anymore. Maybe he just wasn't the one." She said. "Kat, I had the boy of my dreams. I've liked him ever since the beginning of the year. He is and was my dream boy. I want him back so badly. The way he hugged, he cuddled, he kissed me... I don't even know anymore" I said. Mom ran up the stairs when she heard me cry. "Sweetheart, I know it's hard. Hayes, he just is gonna be another boy. Believe me, I loved Hayes as if he was my own son. But honey, you'll meet another guy, you know what they say. There's plenty of fish in the sea.." She said. She kissed my forehead and walked with me downstairs. I saw my dad. I looked at him and looked away. "Emma, I need to talk to you" he said. I just kept walking and went out the door. I stood with Kat at the bus stop. "Emma, you do know Hayes is on the bus right?" She asked. I sighed and nodded. The bus pulled up and we got on. I sat next to the window and Kat sat next to me. We stopped at the next stop and I looked up at the ones who were getting on. Once I saw Nash I knew who was next. I looked up to see the icy blue eyes of my ex.. with another girl. Someone moves on fast. I looked back out the window. Nash and Ria were in the seat behind us. "I'm really sorry Emma, he misses you" Nash said. If he really missed me he wouldn't be with that other girl.... I didn't talk. We got to the school and got off. "OMG I haven't seen you in like forever!!" Celina yelled. I frowned still. "So where's Hayes?!" She asked. I just walked away. Everybody knows about last night. I can't take this anymore. I went to my locker and turned behind me and saw him. He was walking out of the bathroom. We locked eyes. But my friends tried to keep us from seeing each other. Ria pulled me away and Matt pulled Hayes. I can't do this anymore...
