When I spoke to you, it brought light to your eyes,
A warm light that lit the way.
And it made me feel so very happy,
Until you looked away. The light faded to dim,
And now I'm flailing in the dark.
Where did that warm light go?
What happened to that spark?I called out for you,
I cried for you to come home
But when you looked at me again, there was only darkness in your eyes
And you said with an icy tone,"No. Just stop.
Don't be sorry. If you
Have something to say, then say it,
But only if it's new."Your words stab painfully into my heart.
But alright, if silent is how you want me,
Then I will obey your every word
And silent is how I shall be.
