She had felt so lost that she blocked herself from the outside world. She felt as if the world was going ahead of her. She made specific instructions to the nurses not to let Pretty Boy enter her room. The room that he put her in. The room that was now her safe haven. The room that she would probably rot and die in.

She felt no purpose in life anymore. She had absentmindedly pushed her friends away, and her uncle probably thinks his own niece is a disappointment. Oh what would her parents say or think? She just wanted her negativity to end. She just wanted time to stop. She just wanted to sort things out. She wanted things to go back to normal. She just wanted everything to end, including herself.

She opened the door of her room and rolled out. It was the afternoon and there were barely any nurses out and about. She wheeled herself very slowly towards the nearest staircase. On her way there she thought, how life would be without her. Would anyone miss her? Would anything change? Would it be better? She got to the destination and took a deep breath. She gripped a bit harder on the wheels, waiting to give it a slight push to the drop. She shut her eyes and rolled the wheels.

She was embracing what would happen. She was expecting her body colliding with the ground, lifeless. But what she was not expecting, was that someone was holding her back.

Literally.
