"Because I can't afford the hardship of losing someone like you."

He grew up with his grandfather until he was in junior year. His father left him and his mother when he was two and mother then took her life months later. None of his relatives wanted another mouth to feed since they had they're own flesh and blood to tend to. He then realized that many of the boys his age want to be great men like their own fathers, but he was probably the only one who didn't.

He promised himself he would treated his significant other the right way. And he would love her unconditionally.

He noticed that she was the only one he needed. And so, he would do anything, to make her feel loved.

He would always give her back hugs; even though they were just friends.

He would always hold her hand; even though they were just friends.

But what he couldn't do, was love her as a friend.
