"Because you deserve to be loved, cherished, and free like a butterfly."
Her uncle could see that this boy was changing her for the better. Unlike pretty boy, he pulled her out of her own isolation and helped her find her way again.
Her friends began to see that she was becoming the girl they used to know and love before pretty boy took her away and changed her. She never fitted in with the popular crowd, although the girls in Pretty Boy's made her seem like she did. They made her wear wedges, rather than her normal converse highs. They made her wear short skirts and dresses, rather than her leggings, and skinny jeans. They made her wear tighter tops rather than her baggy hoodies. They made her put her hair into many different styles rather than just leaving it down. You see how much they were changing her?
She was just a puzzle piece that was forced to fit there, but didn't. She even knew it herself.
But what she did know, was that she did fit in with him. Her heart fluttered when he did the simplest things like give her back hugs, or even hold her hand. A random stranger would think that the two would be a couple, she would assume that too. But they were just friends. She established the fact that she wasn't falling for him and that it was just a fling, but she was unsure that he didn't like her back. And so she stayed quiet about her feelings.
