She was allowed to leave the hospital with him for a while, and so they went to the creamery nearby. They exchanged laughs until they ran into one of Pretty Boy's friends on the way to the park. His friend was making fun of how she was handicapped and that she had no meaning in life. He also reminded her that Pretty Boy never loved her, nor cared for her. He couldn't stand to see her helpless so he began to defend her.
The friend only then turned to him, trying to provoke him. It had no effect on him and he pushed the wheelchair away so they could enjoy the park. He ignored the friend's remarks until he had brought up something about his mother, and that's when he blew. He swung a punch at Pretty Boy's friend and they began to brawl in the middle of the walk.
She couldn't do anything because she was in the wheelchair of course. She managed to call for help and a older man came over and pulled the two boys away. They were scolded and Pretty boy's friend ran off. They decided to go back to the hospital and just sat in the room watching movies in silence.
