Pain

Floundering in a depth of anxiety and drowning in the depression of it all, of course you only have to 'calm down and stop overreacting' while your mind suffocates you

Loving the sick only to have them gone in an instant as you call out their name desperately

Having those who are supposed to nurture you torture you with words and a belt while you choke on the smell of bourbon and smoke

The ache of rejection from the one you stalked for six weeks in the hope of them turning around and smiling at you when they turn look and run

The stabbing pain of whispers thrown at your back as if it had a giant red target on it while you think about how you shouldn't have had that 'one more drink'

Love and be loved what a load of bull

The world is harsh

You get over it

Standing up though you feel like a cripple

Swimming when you feel like your drowning

Loving though the ache from the previous loves that never fades

Walking with your back straight though it feels like your bleeding out

Guess what?

People have it worse

People starve in africa

People get their lives cut short by disease, murder, fate not being on their side.

Their families and friends become doctors, cops, maybe even priests or if their a little off the deep end fortune tellers.

Pain hurts

It's what it means

We all go through it

Some more than others

We all suffer

In our own ways

We all deal with it

In our own ways

Pain is being human

And that's what we are

We endure as it's in our nature.

So get over it

Move on

Learn from it

Love it

Become a masochist if it helps

Just don't you dare complain you have it the worst

'Cause you don't.
