Lily's Point of View:

Marlene and I walked to transfiguration class together. The early March air was slightly chilly as we walked into the castle after our Care of Magical Creatures class. "The baby should be here in about a month, are you excited?" I asked Marlene as we took a seat in the transfiguration classroom.

"Yes! I can't wait to meet him." I smiled, excited for my friend. "How are things with you and Sirius," I asked even though I knew it wasn't going well. "They're going good, we'll probably start looking for places to live soon. And we chose a name yesterday."

"Aw, what did you decide on?" I started to whisper as I noticed Professor McGonagall come into the room. "John," Marlene whispered back. I grinned at her before looking around the room. It was unusually quiet and once I took a look around I knew why. Where were James and Sirius?

As the class started I began to notice Marlene looking troubled. "Are you okay?" I asked as she leaned over on her desk. I became more concerned when she didn't answer me. I shook her shoulder a bit, trying to get a response. "I think I need to go to the hospital wing," I nodded my head and raised my hand.

"Yes, Ms. Evans?" Professor McGonagall raised an eyebrow at me as she spoke. "I think Marlene needs to go to the hospital wing." She sighed before saying,"very well, escort her there but come right back." I nodded my head as I stood up and helped Marlene out of the classroom.

Once the door closed behind us I turned to her,"Marlene, are you okay? What's going on?" I could see her holding her stomach like she was in pain. "Shit, I need to go to the hospital wing." I nodded as I helped her up the stairs to the hospital wing. I left her there with a worried Madam Pomfrey but as I was about to leave, she stopped me.

"What's going on with Ms. McKinnon?" I turned to see Marlene laying on a bed, clearly in a lot of pain. "She..."I hesitated, wondering if I should tell her,"she's pregnant. I think she might be going into labor." Madam Pomfrey looked shocked but quickly composed herself.

"Well in the case, I think you may be right, thank you for bringing her in." I nodded and turned to leave the hospital wing. As I started heading towards class again, my thoughts went to Sirius. With Marlene giving birth, I needed to let him know.

But he wasn't in transfiguration like he was supposed to be. Where was he? I decided to start looking in the Gryffindor common room. The only people I found in the common room though, were seventh years. I then decided to go up to the boys dormitory and look.

Sirius' Point of View:

James and I roared with laughter as we sat in our dormitory. We had decided to skip transfiguration class today, and I definitely needed it. Not even a quarter of the way through the lesson, we heard a knock on the door. James and I immediately went quiet as he grabbed his cloak and flung it over us.

As the door opened, we found Lily standing behind it. "Lily! You scared the shit out of us." James said as he threw the cloak aside. "Sirius, Marlene's going into labor." My jaw dropped as I stared at her,"but it's a month early? Is everything okay?" Lily nodded," she'll be okay, I took her to Madam Pomfrey."

We rushed to the hospital wing and found it empty except for a few first years. "Where is she?" I asked loudly as I went to knock on the door to Madam Pomfrey's office. "Where's Marlene?" I inquired as she opened the door to her office. "I had her sent to St. Mungos, you three better head back to class. You can see her when she returns." Madam Pomfrey went to close the door but Lily stopped her. "Is she okay? Are you sure she's going into labor?" Madam Pomfrey have a firm nod,"Yes, and it seems to have progressed fast unless she waited before coming here." Lily nodded as she let Madam Pomfrey close the door.

"What do we do? I can't miss out on my son being born!" I stated in frustration. "Come on, we better head to class. It's about halfway through now." I shook my head, refusing to go. "If she won't send us to St. Mungos, then we'll have to find a different way to get there," James stated as if it was obvious. "What do you expect we do James, fly all the way there?" Lily said sarcastically as she threw her hands in the air. "That's exactly what we'll do my Lily," James smirked at his oh-so-genius plan.

"James, no," Lily stated calmly.

"Prongs, Yes!" I loudly laughed at his idea.

Two hours later we were on our broomsticks and almost to London as Lily announced,"why did I ever agree to go out with you?" James grinned widely as he turned around to look at her. "Because I have brilliant ideas and am dashingly handsome?" Lily shook her head before burying it in the crook of his neck.

Since James and I were the only ones who could ride brooms well, Lily was stuck on James' broomstick behind him. As we flew into London, I started to get nervous. What if the baby was already born? How long does it take for a baby to be born. It had been about two and a half to three hours since she went into labor.

We soon landed at St. Mungos and rushed inside. As Lily spoke to the witch at the front desk, I paced the floor as James tried to calm me down. "Calm down, mate. The baby's probably not even born yet. I have a cousin who had a baby and she was in labor for about twelve hours."

Once Lily returned, we were left to wait in the waiting room. "She said she'll have a healer come get us when the doctors done taking care of Marlene."

We sat in the waiting room for about another hour and a half before we were able to go see Marlene and the baby. As we walked to the room they were in, I started to get excited. This is it. I get to see my son! We walked into the room and saw Marlene laying in a hospital bed. I looked around, trying to find my son.

"Where's John?" Lily inquired.

Where's our son?" I asked looking at Marlene.

"Where the fuck is my godson?!" James shouted loudly.

We all looked at Marlene and waited for an answer that never came.
