*Sarah's POV*
I sat up groggily, opening my eyes to a sunlight-filled room. I was alone again.
The longer I was awake, the more I remembered my dream, the dream with those blue eyes. For some reason they made me feel safe and warm. I wanted desperately to know who's eyes they were, wanted to know why they made me happy.
They kind of looked like Bucky's eyes.
But if they were, why would I feel safe? He brought me pain, brought me suffering. He hurt me, he hurt me, he hurt me.
Though the more I thought that, the more it felt wrong on my lips. The pieces of the puzzle just weren't fitting together.
If he caused me this pain, why does everyone say he didn't? And why would he come to save me? If the eyes were his, why on Earth would they make me feel safe? And why did he visit me last night? He was kind last night, but I don't know why.
So many questions, but absolutely no one trustworthy to turn to. I was beyond confused.
The door then creaked open, revealing Dr. Banner. He was very nice, but so was Peter, and I felt like Steve is usually nice, but I did something that made him mad. I don't know what I did.
Dr. Banner gave me a smile, and I returned a small one. He carried his usual clipboard with him, and sat down on the swivel chair that Bucky had sat in last night. It was still next to my bed.
"How are you doing today, Sarah?" He asked, fixing his glasses and watching. I cleared my throat. Should I tell him?
"Fine." I replied, deciding against it. This was something I needed to figure out for myself, without other people's help. I need to know where my friendships lie, who my enemies are.
"Ok, I have a few more tests, and then I shouldn't ever have to do more." He told me.
I nodded, laying back as he put an x-Ray machine above me, telling me not to move. After that, he gave me an injection, telling me it would relax me a little bit. I let him poke and prod.
Afterwards he left, leaving me alone with my thoughts. I immediately decided to take a nap so I could see those eyes again. The eyes that made me happy, made me feel safe. I laid down against the pillows, bringing the blanket up to my chin. Once I closed my eyes I fell asleep quickly.

My dream started out in a field. A fire was burning, and there were flames and rubble everywhere. Everything was in slow motion.
There were people on the ground. I recognized Steve, and the others looked familiar, but I wasn't sure who they were. I vaguely noticed that I was on the ground, and my ears were ringing, as if something had just exploded. I couldn't move, no matter how hard I tried. I could barely see.
I heard a gunshot followed by a scream, and I squinted my eyes, trying to see what happened. A man was standing over another man with a gun. The injured man looked like Bucky.
But why was he here? Why was he shot?
Bucky clawed at the ground, pulling himself towards me. He left a trail of blood.
Why was he trying to get to me? He didn't like me.
I was suddenly lifted up, and I was hung over someone's back. I didn't have the energy to lift my head, and I blacked out for a minute. I heard yelling behind me, and I used all the energy I had to lift my head.
It was Bucky. He was calling for me, screaming out my name, desperately trying to reach me.
But w h y ?
For some reason, his name was on my lips. I felt shock take over and I screamed his name, not wanting to lose him.
My body collapsed in agony, and tears streamed down my face.
But w h y ?

*Bucky's POV*
I sat in the living area on a couch, staring at the TV. It was broadcasting something about Hydra, but I wasn't really listening. It was hard to pay attention with everything on my mind.
I heard a scuff and looked behind the couch, locking eyes with Steve and Cara. Steve put his hand on my shoulder.
"Bucky, Cara might be able to help Sarah." He told me. I quickly muted the TV and turned towards Cara, who looked nervous.
"How?" I asked. She cleared her throat.
"I might be able to go into her mind and sort things out, with my telekinetic powers. But I'm warning you, there is a big chance I won't be successful." Cara replied, biting her lip in nervousness. I smiled slightly and stood up, walking over to them.
"Anything is worth a try." I told her, and started on my way to Sarah, Cara and Steve in tow. I walked far down the hallway, avoiding guards. I stopped in front of the door, opening it up wide.
Cara and Steve stepped in behind me, and Cara walked past us to Sarah's bed. She was asleep.
Cars sighed, breathing in deeply to get ready. She looked back nervously at me.
"Are you sure I can do this? What if I make it worse?" She asked me. I closed my eyes briefly and glanced at her.
"You can't make it any worse." I replied with a rough, hoarse voice. She reluctantly nodded, and Fury, Natasha, Valerie and Peter walked in all of a sudden. Everyone was here.
"What is the meaning of this?" Fury asked, pushing through everyone and eyeing me, of all people.
"We are trying to help Sarah. Cara said she thinks she can use her powers to help her." I told him, impatiently waiting for Cara to start. He nodded agonizingly slowly.
"You think you can do it?" He asked Cara, who gave him a hesitant nod. Fury shrugged.
"Well, we are running out of options, so sure. Just don't hurt her more." Fury said. Cara nodded and breathed in, placing her hand over Sarah's forehead.
Cara closed her eyes and concentrated, her eyebrows furrowing together. I stood motionlessly as I prayed for it to work, for her to sort through Sarah's thoughts and straighten them out. I needed her back.
Cara spent a good eight minutes on it, not moving or speaking. She was completely unresponsive, and the rest of us kept quiet, not wanting to ruin what she was doing.
Suddenly, after all that time, Sarah sat up. She blinked and glanced around, eyes locking on me. A single tear rolled down her cheek.
"Bucky." She said.
