------------

I walk down the hallway, people brush past me without even a look. I don't pay any attention to them, I'm just focusing on getting to my next class on time. I still have a couple minutes to spare, but it would be nice not to get a detention.

I'm walking down the hallway until I feel a tap on my shoulder, I spin around, unsure who it will be.

"Hey, it's Camila right?" The girl in front of me asks. I've never met her before, though I know that she is in a couple of my classes.

"Yeah, how can I help?" I ask, not wanting to be rude. Though I want this to be quickly over with, I do have class.

"Well, we take English together and I was just wondering if you could tutor me sometime? From what I've seen you sure know your stuff." The girl asks me, a bit out of breath.

"Uhm, I guess it kind of depends on when you want to be tutored." I place the ball in her court, I have no problem tutoring her, but I do have other stuff going on.

"I was just thinking after school like we meet in the library or something. If that's okay with you?" She asks me, it sounds fine to me.

"Yeah sure, that's fine. Do you want to start today or?" I ask.

"Today would be brilliant! Thank you so much, Camila!" She quickly squeezes my shoulder as thanks and walks away.

I hear the bell ring above me, I close my eyes and sigh. I turned and ran to my class.

It was halfway through the lesson that I realised, I didn't even get her name.

---

I stood outside the library door, waiting for the other girl. I had been waiting for a minute or two, which was fine, she may have a class that was further away than mine or something.

I'm brought out of my thoughts by a tap on my shoulder, I focus on the person in front of me.

"Are you ready to head in?" The girl asks me, I nod my head.

As we walk into the library, we try to find a table.

"So what is your name again?" I ask her, I don't want to be tutoring somebody nameless.

"Oh right! Sorry, I didn't even realise I didn't tell you my name. It's Lauren, Lauren Jauregui." She tells me. My eyebrows raise in recognition.

"Oh, the principal's daughter? Or is that just coincidence?" I ask her.

"Uh, yeah, I am the principal's daughter."

"Oh cool, cool." I say casually.

"I hope that isn't going to be a problem," Lauren questions me.

"No, of course it won't be. I just didn't really expect the principals daughter to need tutoring," I said to Lauren as we sat at a table.

"Yeah well he isn't too keen on the idea either but that's whatever." Lauren says as she pulls her books out.

"Right." I pull out my own books.

After a couple of hours in the library, Lauren changes the subject.

"What's your favourite quote?" She asks me.
It's a strange question and I wasn't expecting it.

"Uhm..."

"Well it's just, you seem like the kind of person to have a favourite quote, that's all." Lauren smiles at me.

"Oh right, well probably, we accept the love we think we deserve." I tell her.

"Oh that's a nice one, mines pretty basic, sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me." She says with an embarrassed smile on her face.

I grab the nearest book to me and smack Lauren on the arm with it. She yelps in shock.

"What'd you do that for?" She whimpers.

I hold up the book, a dictionary.

"Words just hurt you." I say smug

"Ha. Ha. Bitch," she glares at me while still rubbing her arm.

I roll my eyes at here and look at my watch. Eyes widening I realise it's a good time to leave.

"Do you have to go?" Lauren asks me, seeing my reaction to the time.

"Yeah, I'm really sorry. But I'm free again on Thursday so do you want to tutor again then?" I ask her.

"Yeah, that would be great. Thank you. Bye Camila." She smiles at me as I pack my things and stand.

"No problem Lauren. See you around, if not I'll see you Thursday." I give her a small wave and walk away with an extra bounce in my step.

Just something short. Sorry about that
