They say you can't live forever. But what if you could? What if you had to watch the people you love slowly fade away and you couldn't do anything about it? You fall in love, you date for the correct age frame and you disappear from their life and watch them disappear from life itself. You get heartbroken everytime but it isn't your fault you fall in love so easily. Falling in love with someone is beautiful, at the beginning it's absent minded touches, grazes of fingers on arms, leaving a path of goosebumps, lingering stares, blood rushing to your cheeks, leaving them a rose red. Their laughter being the highlight of your day, soothing like rain at night, eye opening like the smell of rain and relaxing like being on a swing in silence. Then they gain meaning, lingering touches because you can never not be touching them in some way, you have to be reminded they're there and not a figment of your imagination. The trail of goosebumps are now a show of how even after all the times you've touched, you still feel the same chills as the first touch. Lingering stares turn into meaningful stares and you see love flooded in each other's eyes and it fills you with happiness knowing they feel the same way. Blood still rushes to your cheeks, you can't change that and you wouldn't anyway. Their laughter makes you feel bubbly, even when they aren't laughing with you or because of a joke you told, you can't help but feel full inside. Everything is perfect and you wouldn't change a thing.

Sadly for mortals, they only feel this way once and if it doesn't work out, they're heartbroken and never the same. They build walls and forget what it's like to be genuinely happy. A piece of them is missing and only love can fill that gap. They look at their future dimly, so why bother to try looking for love again? Especially if they are going to get heartbroken again.

Luckily for immortals, they feel love more than once. They get to be full of happiness and full of love. Sadly though, they can't stay with their love for long. Their love will realise something is different and start to ask questions. This is when they have to let them go, they can't let them know their secret, unless they want to.
For immortals, falling in love is different. Yes, they fall in love like mortals but it is much more passionate. They read books about how mortals fall in love and can't help but feel glad. They get to feel that way but they feel it twice as much as mortals do. But that is also why immortals are afraid to fall in love. What if they fall in love with the wrong person? They'll feel the pain twice as much and for the rest of their immortality.
But when an immortal falls deep, deep in love. They can share their immortality with their true love. They can only do this once, so that's why most of them are very cautious about the way they share their immortality. Some just throw it away like a piece of paper, some cherish it and wait for their true love, some will never share it, some may never get to share it because they'll never find their true love, and they'll live forever; alone.

Lauren Jauregui was one of the few who had fallen in love, but never found the one she wants to live with. It's a hard decision, who do I want to spend the rest of infinity with? Who do I trust enough to share this with? What if we don't last? And so on.

She didn't know when she would find her true love, she felt alone. Sure she had been in love with multiple people, but she has never been in love. She never dated people unless she felt a connection. She always thinks, why bother with a relationship that doesn't have a connection? You won't fall in love.

She has a friend. Her name is Normani Kordei. She's jealous of Normani but still happy for her. She's jealous because Normani has already found her true love; Dinah Jane. Normani has already married and shared her essence with Dinah and she can't help but be jealous. They're sickeningly cute and nauseating sometimes but she wouldn't have it any other way. She always teases the pair yet they always have smart comebacks ready just for her.
