I was just relaxing at home with my puppy sleeping by my side. It was just an ordinary day. I heard a knock on the door. My dog ran straight to the door and was barking like crazy, like he always does. I opened the door and saw bf/n! He had a grocery bag in his hand. I let him in. Of course.

"Not to sound rude or anything, but what are you doing here?"

"I just really wanted to see you. And I brought you your favourite chocolate!"

I just smiled and he followed me into the living room. We cuddled on the couch

"Are you home alone?"

"Yup. My parents are working and my brother(or sister or whatever) is at a friends house."

"Ok." That's all he said. He got up and walked right out the door. Didn't say anything else. He also left the front door open. I was lucky it was warm out because I didn't want cold air to rush in the house

I knew he wanted me to follow him. But I thought I'd wait a couple minutes. Just to annoy him. Once my show was over, I got up, grabbed the chocolate, locked the front door behind me, and went to go find him. He was sitting in his car. I opened the passenger door and got it. Put my seat belt on and didn't say a thing

"Took you long enough." He said breaking the silence

"Shut up. What are you doing anyway?"

"You'll see." He said starting his car and driving away

I watched as my house went out of view. It's funny how people just do things like it's no big deal. Like right now how bf/n does things just because. I also hate how he knew that I love car rides so a long car ride was how to get my mind off of whatever. He knows me too well

I starred out the window for a good 20 minutes until I realized that we haven't stopped anywhere else

"Wait where are we going?"

"Just another 10 minutes. I'll be worth it."

"Really?"

"Yup. Just trust me."

I felt my eyes become heavy and I drifted off to sleep.

I woke up to bf/n shaking me awake
"We're here!" He said all to happily

I checked my phone and it was 2 pm! It was 12:30 when we left my house

"You knew I would fall asleep didn't you?" I said giving him an annoyed look

"Yup. Which makes it easier to force you into things." He smiled

I rolled my eyes at him

"Yup you keep doing that." He yelled as I walked away

"Hey where are you going?! It's this way!" He yelled again

I turned to him and I sat down. Right there on the ground, on the side of the road. I looked up at him and gave him the biggest, cheesiest smile

He picked me up bridal style and carried me. Not gonna lie. I was lazy and I wanted him to carry me. He brought me to a beach. It was really pretty and I'm surprised that there were any people here besides us. He took me to a blanket with a picnic basket on it

"What's all this for?" I said as he put me down

"Just because." He smiled down at me

"You're so sweet. What made you think of this?"

"Well...I remember one time you told me that, and I quote, "'I love the sound of the waves crashing on the beach."' He said in a high pitched white girl voice. "And food is basically the thing you adore. Besides me of course."

I just shook my head and rolled me eyes
"You're so full of yourself sometimes."

"You know you love me." He said smirking

"This is probably one of the most unexpected dates ever."

"Unexpected? Or a surprise?"

"I guess both. Now gimme the food!"
