Your POV

How could a guy ever like him like me. He's popular, I'm not. He's beautiful, I'm not. The chances of me dating him are slim. What am I thinking, there is no chance

I try to ignore him. But it's like he's everywhere, and I'm not even trying to look at him. It's just like he just shows up. Not that I'm complaining

As I was about to walk into the classroom I hear someone call my name. I turn around and I see C/n! Out of everybody I see C/n in front of me! This can't be real

"Hey, can I talk to you for a minute?"

"Uh, y-yeah sure."

He pulled my to the side by some lockers and leaned up against them. He seemed nervous

"Hey, so I've been wanting to ask you something for a really long time, well not a really long time, a while and I just didn't know what you would say but anyway, I was wondering if you wanted to go out with me this Saturday?"

My eyes went wide. I was so shocked.

"With me? Like on a date?"

"Haha yes."

"Why me? There are so many other girls that are better than me. Why don't you just pick one of them." I thought this was a joke

I tried to go past him but he reached out and put his hand on my shoulder

"Hey. Why would you say that? You are better than everybody else. I see who you really are. You like to doodle even though you think no one is watching. You go into the library and you could get lost in books all day. People say you are weird, but you are not. They don't see who you really are. They don't see how beautiful you are, they don't see how nice you are. They don't see you, and I think that's really sad."

His words took me by surprise. I have never heard anything that sweet before. I did what was unexpected. I hugged him. And let me tell you, it was the greatest hug ever

"So, will you go out with me on Saturday?"

I stop hugging him and smile

"Yes." And with that I walk into the classroom and I can't think about anything but what he said to me
