(I picture this imagine like a prince and princess except they aren't. Lol. I picture that the boyfriends parents are really rich. I picture the dress in the picture above, with no train on the back and it's just above the floor)

Your POV

Bf/n's parents are hosting a New Year's party and he invited me. It was an elegant/formal event. He has been complaining that he has to be there and that he has to wear a tux

"Oh come on! It will be fun. And I think you will look handsome in a tux." I said smiling up at him

"Fine...when you put it that way..."

*later that evening*

Bf/n's POV

I was dressed and ready to go. Y/n was in a different room still getting ready. I felt like I was in a movie. Because the place my parents rented had a grand stair case to a freaking ball room. Like those fancy ones you see in movies. Like beauty and the beast.

I was waiting at the bottom of the stairs for y/n. When I saw her she took my breath away and I'm pretty sure everyone was looking at her with their jaw dropped. At least mine was.

She was in a white dress with flowers cascading down it. Her hair was curled and some hair was pinned back. She looked amazing. She looked more than amazing. Words cannot describe how beautiful she looked

"Hey Bf/n? Do you know why everybody is looking at me?"

"They are starring at you because they haven't seen anyone more beautiful than you."

She just smiled and shook her head. I grabbed her hand and lead her to the dance floor. We went to the middle of the dance floor. It felt like a movie. I was with the most beautiful girl in the world.

After a couple dances, I could tell that she was getting tired of it.

"We can take a break if you want to you know."

"Oh yes please."

She grabbed my hand and lead me outside. It was chilly but not that bad

"I needed to get out of there. Doing 3 slow songs in a row makes you fall asleep." She said yawning

"You can't fall asleep now. We have to stay up until midnight. That is the whole point of the event."

She just nodded. I could see goosebumps on her arms. I took off my coat and put it on her shoulders. My mom always told me to think of others and also to never let a girl freeze while you have lots of layers on

"Thanks bf/n."

"Of course. I like how I'm wearing black and you are wearing white."

"Haha yeah I guess. So...did your parents drag you to come?" She said while sitting down on a swinging chair that was on the balcony

"Yeah but I invited you and I thought you would say yes so I didn't think it would be that bad with you here." I said sitting next to her

She gave me one of her amazing smiles

"You are truly amazing. You know that? You do things that you necessarily don't want to do, just to make others happy. You are so kind, sweet, and you blow me away."

She smiled "You aren't too bad yourself."

It's my turn to smile

It was silent. A good silent. I looked at the time 12:00 am

"Happy New Year Y/n!"

Right after I said that fireworks started to go off. Perfect timing or what? Y/n got up and leaned on the railing. I took a couple pictures of her looking at the fireworks before joining her

As I came up beside her she looked at me and smiled like a kid on Christmas.

"Happy New Year Bf/n." She leaned in and kissed me.

I knew that this was going to be a good year!
