It's the beginning of summer and I've never felt so relieved to be out of school. The weight of all the tests, all the school drama, and all of the annoying pests have been lifted off of my shoulders

Now I know that summer consists of nothing much going on, but I do quite a bit in summer

My phone went off signalling that one of my best friends Shawn has texted me

I have to admit I have this tiny crush on him. I mean it's nothing big but I kinda like him

Waking up in my big girl bed, and knowing it was my first day of school! Mommy set out a outfit for me. It was my favourite dress

"Y/n! It's time for school!" I hear mommy yell

I ran downstairs and she already had my favourite breakfast ready. She put my bagel on a plate and gave it to me at the table

"How do you want me to do your hair?" My said as I took a bite

"I don't care just make it look nice."

She put in a small braid and drove me to school. I got out of the car and practically ran into the building. My mom had to stop me

"Honey you don't run in the school."

"Sorry mom. I'm just excited."

I walked in the class and saw some kids there already. There were a group of boys playing with cars and a group of girls playing with dolls. Some were looking at books

"You can go now mom. I have to make friends." (I literally said that to her when I was little)

"Ok sweetie have fun."

I gave my mom a hug and ran over to the group of girls

"Hi I'm Y/n who are you?" I said looking at the one girl

"I don't care." One of the girls said

"Can I play with you?"

"No."

"Why not?"

"Because."

"Go away."

"Fine!" I huffed

I gave up on them and went to the group of guys that were playing with cars
