You woke.
In a forest.
Naked.
You covered yourself as it was dark out, no moonlight. Your feline features helped you see, as your eyes absorbed more light in the dark.. so you could see after they had adjusted.
You found a strangers cottage, needing shelter.. you barged in.
You found clothes, simple peasant clothing.
After that, you had tucked yourself in a blanket that was also there. You looked to the side- looking into the mirror.
You look like a mess, and you are so short. Your features were more fluffy, now. Like a long haired cat. But you didn't look like the daughter of a noble!
You looked your age, finally. All the stress made you look like you were in your 30's. But you finally looked 20, your age.
You were happy, knowing you were free.
"Mrow!"
Is there a cat outside?
You stepped outside, seeing the mystical looking cat.
"What--?""Hey, don't use all your lives up. Be careful. You may have full potential, but you aren't invincible."
And poof, it went. Into a cloud of mist.
You were dumbfounded.
People were approaching.
You ran and hid in a bush. But uh.. that wouldn't guarantee your safety. The men uncovered you quickly. You climbed up a tree with a funny amount of speed, they were cursing at you.
You were also starving.
You needed to find Benedict, but you couldn't from here. Although.. you could find your mansion from here. And so, you did!
But.. it was sold to a different family. Seems your parents were taken by loan sharks, because even the money they had gotten wasn't enough. Good fucking riddance.Either way, you had gone to find Benedict from here. The village was a lot more modern looking. You had already hidden your cat features, it wasn't that hard.
Going to the house he was always at, Benedict was there. Training, as the he always was.You could kinda just open the door- since he'd opened his own little sword training business.
He was a grown man! Looking like he was your age. He had a wife now, as well as some children of his own.
"Honey, go take the kids."
His wife had done so.
Benedict sheathed his sword, walking over to you."You're overdue, young lady!" He smirked, patting your head and ruffling your hair, exposing your ears.
"I would recognize those eyes anywhere. So, the myth is true, huh?"
"It is!! But like.. it took a while. I was told by this blue cat not to use up all my lives. So I guess, I have eight left?" Shrug.
You both laughed.
You hugged, and as old friends would.. you caught up. He really had lived out a lot of his life without you. You felt bad for missing it all.
He gave you food and water, helping you get back on your feet. Literally. Now you had al your needs, and didn't look like a homeless woman!
---
You two rested for the night, you would stay in the guest room. Yea, his whole sword training building doubled as his house.
Working at home.. ig???As you woke up last, you had breakfast served to you in bed.
"You better visit as soon as you got a place of your own. Everyone needs workers, so hurry up!"
You nodded, eating happily. "I'll do my best."
---
You traveled, you carried all your things in your bag in which you carried on your back. Not exactly a backpack, but not NOT a backpack.
You bought a newspaper with the money that Benedict had given you- Finding many job ads. Most of them being for men.. yea, men are supposed to bring the money into the household. But you weren't married! Too bad, so sad!
You found an ad for a maid.
Surprisingly, at the Phantomhive household.
Ooooh boy. I mean, there's no way he'll recognize me. Even then, he would have forgotten it by now.. right?
You would go to his household with the newspaper. You looked presentable enough, everything would be fine.. right?
