Wonpil's p.o.v

I drove for hours from my home town all the way to Seoul. During the drive, I explained to Dowoon the entire situation. "Hyung, this isn't like you to do this. What will you do now?" Dowoon became worried and I urged him not to. I continued to drive and decided to finally call Kerrie. I was afraid of her thick accent and strong attitude. I relax my shoulders as I drove and let out a deep sigh, "I will make a phone call."

I pulled my phone from my pocket and I glanced down briefly to dial Kerrie's number. Placing the phone to my ear, I waited for an answer. "Wonpil?" her voice rang loudly in my ear. I yanked the phone away then put it close again, "Yeah. I just wanted you to know I am on my way and find a nearby coffee shop as shelter."

"Find shelter? But why? You will be here, right?" Kerrie begins to sound worried.

"Of course. But I am just. . . two towns away. So it'll be awhile." I braced myself, anticipating her loud voice. But she didn't yell. "Seriously?" she let out a deep sigh, "Okay then. You better hurry and it better be the real you!" Kerrie hung up and I placed my phone in the cup holder.

That was fast. "She will be at the coffee shop she says." I glance over at Dowoon who is staring out the window, yawning.

"Is she a pretty girl? With beautiful, wavy, long hair?" Dowoon smiled while staring out the window as his eyes wandered. I could tell he's imagining her.
"Um, I'm not sure. . . You'll see." I drove a bit faster. Dowoon started to comb through his hair with his fingertips.

For a second I though about texting y/n to see if she was alright and why she had hung up. But I can't turn away from the road right now. buzz buzz. My screen lit up. "Y/n~♡"
Dowoon grabs my phone and answers, "This is Dowoon." I felt my face burn. "Dowoon, please put it on speakerphone." I glanced over at him then back towards the road. "Oh, hey, Dowoon." I hear y/n say. Which is the only thing I'm able to hear from her. I hear her distinct voice talking back to Dowoon.

I grew more and more embarrassed although they had been introduced to one another before.

Soon, I began to recognize the surroundings more and pulled into the café parking lot which was a couple of blocks past the airport. "Okay. Have fun, y/n." Dowoon pulls the phone from his ear, "Y/n has something to tell you before she hangs up." He finally puts her on speaker phone.
"Wonpil, you there?" Her voice soothes me instantly.

"Yeah, what's up?" I take the phone from Dowoon.
"Sorry about earlier, my phone died on you." She giggles and I laugh with her, then she continues, "Also, I want you to know that I'm gonna spend a bit more time with my mom as my phone charges so I won't be able to pick up. Okay?"

"Yes, y/n. . . Are you going out?" I bite my lip waiting for her to speak.
"Yeah, for dinner. I will text you when I get home so don't worry."

"Okay, beautiful. Have fun and goodnight." I smile to myself.
She giggles, "Goodnight, handsome. Love you!"
"I love you too." I say.
Then our call ends.

"Goodnight, handsome." Dowoon mimics y/n's voice and bats his eyes at me. I smack his shoulder as my cheeks got hotter. "Let's go, Dowoon, we're here."

We exit the car and head into the café. The place seemed kind of empty with about five people there. They were all in their own corners of the café, enjoying a form of coffee or drink. Then I see a girl chatting with the Barista.
"-And also, it's a crime to drink coffee without sugars. It's absolutely bitter!" She seemed into her conversation.

"Uh. . . Kerrie?" I say, hoping I have the right person.
"What!" She whips her head around and her long ponytail smacks into my chest as I stood beside her.
She turns her body completely to face me, staring for a moment, before saying, "Wonpil? . . Ooh, what took so long? Were you sleeping on the Job?" She laughs.

"Where's your car? Can you take my bags? My feet are so tired." Kerrie removes her heels from her feet.
"It's outside of course." I stared at her two large suitcases and groaned then started to gather them.

"I'll help you, hyung." Dowoon grabs one of the suitcases. "Wonpil, I didn't know you were bringing somebody. . ." Kerrie says as she watched Dowoon's exposed bicep flex through his tank top as he lifts her luggage.

"Oh right, that's my friend, Dowoon." I say and we started to head outside.
"Kerrie, hi." Dowoon smiles shyly toward her and she gave a wink. "Hi, Dowoon."

We made it to the car and I couldn't help but notice how they kept eyeing one another. I took the front seat after placing her bag in the trunk. Dowoon places the other bag in the trunk and sits in the back seat, allowing Kerrie to sit in the passenger seat but she sits in the back with him instead.

"So how come you brought him along?" Kerrie says to me as she looks at Dowoon. Dowoon stares down at his hands in his lap.

"Well, I was in the middle of watching a movie with Dowoon. I didn't think I was gonna pick someone up today." I say while driving on to the highway.
Dowoon finally looks at her and she smiles. His face goes red and she laughs. "I'm glad your friend is accompanying me."

--
We finally make it to my house. Dowoon had went to sleep in my room and Kerrie settled on the couch. I agreed that she can stay for two days before I pay for her trip back home. I didn't want to upset Y/n even though she doesn't know, but if she did, she'd be upset that she isn't the one visiting me.

I got into comfortable clothing and that's when Kerrie started to question me. "Hey, handsome guy, how come you won't do video chats with my Y/n? She wants to see you so bad."

"I sent her my picture already. I don't think I'm ready to video chat with her. . . I'm scared." I looked away from her.
"Of course you're ready. Video chatting is the same as talking on the phone but with your face." She says.

After my silence, she slapped my shoulder and yelled but not loud enough to wake Dowoon, "C'mon! How about you send another picture. She'd be so happy and I swear I won't leave until you do."

I ruffled my hair and let out a sigh to calm myself. "Okay, I'm gonna do this." I pulled out my phone and went straight to the camera, made a few faces and send!

"I did it. . ." I tossed my phone aside and took a deep breath as if it were the hardest thing in the world that I had just accomplished.
Then I started thinking about how she wouldn't see it up until a few hours later or maybe more. That thought made me panic.

"Kerrie, Y/n said earlier that she's-" I turned around to see her fast asleep. I sighed and placed the nearest blanket over her.

It'll have to wait til tomorrow.
