Two days later, was Juvia's surgery, and Gray's game. The two hugged each other, Gray kissed Juvia on her forehead. "I'll win it for you, and when I get back we'll eat all the Caramade Franks you want." Gray said.

Juvia nodded. "I love you"

"I love you most" Gray replied, before kissing one more time, then walking out of the room, Juvia waved as he went. But when he disappeared, Juvia's face fell, and tears collected in her eyes.

Gray sat on the bleachers. "I shouldn't be here, I should be at the hospital with her." He thought. The buzzer went off telling Gray that the finals had began.

"Ready team?" Coach Greenberg said. Gray was out in a daze. "Fullbuster get your head in the game, no time for messing around!" Greenberg snapped at Gray.

"Sorry sir, I was just thinking." Gray replied, his eyes wondered over to Juvia's seat. "She's in surgery, I'll win this game for her."

The game started, Gray dodged the other team as he sunk the ball into the hoop, winning his team some points. The ref called a foul on the Sabertooth team, when won knocked Gray over.

Running back and forth Gray sunk the ball again. Then again. The crowd went wild. Coach Greenberg looked at his game plan and gave Gray a thumbs up.

It's was half time. Gray sat in the locker room as Green gave a pep talk. "You win this, and you win pride for our school, you boys started off poorly, but now look you. You guys have made it to state championship. I could never be prouder." He stated.

Third quarter began, and Fairy Tail's team was leaving Sabertooth's team in the dust. Greenberg was jumping. Gray threw the ball half way across the gym, and made it into the hoop. The crowd cheered his name.

Final quarter came, Gray felt sore and tired. But he wasn't going to give in. He ran over to the player that had the ball and blocked him. He received the ball as soon as the player tried to toss it. Gray sunk into the hoop.

Four minutes remained. Juvia's called out. "Go Gray!" When he heard her voice he looked over to see her sitting in her spot.

Gray stumbled abit. Then retained his posture, and threw the ball into the hoop. A minute remained, and he looked over at the sidelines to see Juvia cheering him on. He smiled when he saw her smile.

She pointed at the ball, then to the wall, and finally at the hoop. He realized he was surrounded. He nodded and threw it to the wall where pointed, it bounced off.

He watched as the ball flew across the gym, seconds remained. It landed through the hoop as the buzzer went off. He looked over to see Juvia disappearing.

She gave him a final smile, and she faded into the light. He fell to his knees, and tremble. His teammates walked over to him. "Gray?"

"She's gone." He whispered, as Greenberg came over and handed him his phone. "It's for you." He said grimly

Gray shakily takes the phone, and holds it up to his ear. "Gray, She's gone, Juvia's gone." He heard Natsu say over, his voice cracking as he spoke. Gray cried harder.

He didn't care that he was crying in front of the town. He just wanted her back. The gym at this point was silent. Both teams had their heads hung low. Gray weeped and weeped.

Gray walked out of the gym, and ran to the hospital, where he found Natsu crying. He wrapped his arms around Natsu. Natsu hugged him back. "GOD DAMN IT" Gray yelled as tears stained his cheeks.

That night Gray laid aimlessly in his bed, he turned over to see a picture of Juvia and him smiling. He took the picture into his hands, and looked at her smiling face. His eyes were glassy. He looked out his window, towards hers.

He could picture her sitting at her window singing to the night sky. He could still hear her voice in his head.

A few days passed. Gray, Natsu, Gajeel, and Levy stood in front of Juvia's grave. Not any one of them speaking. Just silence. Natsu passed Gray a letter. "I found this while I was cleaning out her room."

Natsu placed flowers in front of her grave. "We all miss her, but she's not sick anymore." Natsu said.

"We loved her a lot, but God loved her more." Natsu also said. Gray placed a small panda stuffed bear next to the flowers. "I hope she's smiling wherever she is."  His voice sounded frail. Gray knew Juvia was smiling like she always did.

That night Gray opened the letter, and began reading.

Dear Gray,
How are you? I hope you're not starving yourself. Again. Anyways, Gray I wrote this letter, because I know by the time you get this, I'm not longer here. I died. I wished I could've lived more, and be with you more. But I guess God had different plans. Remember Gray, this world turns everyday, and more lives are lost, but it keeps going, as you should. It may be tough at first, but I know you can because I watched you do it. I've watched you do it. Also Gray thank you again for stay with me through the tough times. The memories we've made, will always be my most treasured. If we can't be together anymore, keep me in your heart I'll stay there forever. I love you Gray, please never forget me."
~ Forever and Always
Juvia

The tears streamed down his face, he tried to wipe them away but the kept falling. He scream in agony, the pain of losing her was too much. He fell to his knees. "Please I'm begging you, bring her back. I'll do anything. Please." He pleaded.

That six months they were together, changed his fate forever. He would love her forever, and never forget her. She would always be the one that got away.
