I just stood there letting it all soak in. All for one, and one for all. I quickly wrapped my head around it all. What I didn't understand is where I fit into all of this. I got where Izu-kun did, but I was in no way context to all for one beyond my relationship with Izuku and All Might. I waited until my friend left to bring up my concern. "Where do I fit into all of this?" I asked as the door clicked behind my friend. The hero turned to look at me. "I get that I'm Izu-kun's friend, and I'll help, but why do you tell me all these things?"
"Cayse you were my second choice," he nonchalantly confessed. I looked at him confused and a bit angry. "If Midoriya didn't work out, I would have passed on All for One onto you." This made me even more emotional. "" Me wanting to train you at the begin was no more than just that. But after seeing you two together, I think you two need to stick by eachother to get things done. " Doubt that, but whatever." Besides, it's onky fair you two have the same information. I'm sure you two would tell the other rifle either found out. " He did have a point.
" So I'm basically just ment to be by Izu-kun's side and help him, and if he dies take his place. Sorta a Vixe Deku, "I sorta clarified in my own twisted way.
" What ever makes sense in your head, " he clarified. With that I left. With that it was time to head home, but i was scared to. I would get beaten up on the streets again. But mom and dad will get worried differently I don't get home. And it's not like I can contact them and tell them I was staying and Izuku's. The only phone in our family's possession was in my bag.
I froze at the gate of the school. No one else seemed to be at campus. Even Izu-kun had left. It was just me left to walk home alone. "Hi," a cool voice said from next. I was too lost in thought to notice their approach.
"Hey Todoroki," I greeted my classmate, giving him a smile. "You're here late." I continued my happy go lucky state, but I was really dying inside. Not like there was much if a difference from any other day.
"You're here too," he pointed out, continuing on the way out of school. I skipped along behind him.
"I was talking to a teacher," I shrugged. It wasn't a lie, but not the complete truth. "How's your injuries doing?" I was trying to make a conversation, so it wouldn't seem weird that I was walking with him. Honestly I was freaking out in so many levels. First the dude I have this crush on is walking with. Then there is a chance I could beaten to death the closer I get to home. Woo, my live is both amazing and sucks.
"They're fine," he said. I groaned. I wanted nothing more than to have an actual conversation, but he says so few words, it seems like it won't ever happen again. "Unlike yours, that seem to have gotten worse." Oh great, the other two didn't question the new injuries, as I was playing them off as Stain injuries.
"I left the hospital like this," I scoffed, not wanting to have anyone worry about me. I could handle this. I'd figure something out.
I felt his gaze pierce into the side if my face, as if he didn't believe me. "It takes me a while to brues, seriously ask Izuku. One time I got punched in the face, by Kacchan if you want to know, and I didn't get a brues until a week later. And it was the gross kind like there was green blotches and blood pooling..." his hand slapped over my mouth making me stop.
" Stop, " he demanded. I wouldn't have expect for him to be a squeamish type. But then again, so am I at times. We made it to the station by this time. He started walking in the other direction.
" Well looks like this is where we part way, see ya tomorrow, "I then ran off hoping to catch the train instead of needing to wait for the next one. The entire way to my neighborhood I was trying to formulate a way to get to my apartment without getting beat up.
That day's training popped into my head. I wouldn't need to go by ground. I could parkour onto the roofs and make my way to the top of my apartment building and going in through the emergency roof exit.
My plan was working. That was until I got to one roof. There was an entire gang of punks in there. There were all wearing black so I hadn't noticed them until I landed on the roof. "Well well, what do we have here," the leader laughed and slowly walked towards me. I took a step back, and another, and another, until half my foot was over the edge of the eight story high roof. I glanced back to see the drop only to turn to see the guy right in my face. He grabbed the collar of my shirt and held me over the edge of the building. I frantically swung my legs, thinking it would help in my panicked mind. "You're smart, aren't ya kid," the guy laughed, "Would drop from this height kill you?"
There was a murmur of laughter from rest of the gang. I couldn't bring a voice to tell them it wouldn't. "The look in your eyes says it will." I closed my eyes preparing for a free fall. Instead I was thrown to the cement floor of the roof. I foot came down on my chest. A beat was what a got instead of a busted up busted leg.
