I ran into the apartment, both my siblings under my arms. I had just ran away from yet another beating. I was just waiting them out at this point, getting used to being in constant physical along with emotional pain. I sat down the twins, who ran off into our room to do something. I followed them in and grabbed an outfit to change into, old tee shirt, and the skirt from my middle school uniform. I brought my hair up into twin buns instead of piggy tails.

It was a but quiet, since my parents were out. I wasn't sure where, they verbena going out a lot recently. I went to the fridge to see the left yet another note.

We'll be out all night. Don't forget to eat, and have sweet dreams.

-Mom and Dad.

I crumpled up the note and threw it in the ground. I told them about the studying session the day we decided to. Then reminded them ever day since, yet they still aren't here to watch the twins. Let's not mention Aio wasn't feeling that well this morning. Almost on que the boy ran into the bathroom where the painful sound of lurching echoed into the hall. I just sighed, I was looking forward to hanging out with my friends. Guess I would be studying alone, again.

I pulled out my phone and dialed one of five numbers I have in it. "Hello?" Izuku answered. "What's up Ji-chan?"

I sighed, as I sat down to rubber my brother's back as he gagged into the toilet. "Yeah, I can't make it. My parents are out  doing hell knows what, and Aio's sick. I'm really sorry, I know this was my idea and I sorta forced it onto you, but if you have questions you can still call me."

"Ji-chan, it's fine," he stopped me from continuing. He was also trying to make me feel less guilty, but it didn't help. "Just take care of your siblings."

"Thank's Izu-kun, you're the best," I told him before hanging up. I put my phone into my bra, where I hold almost everything. "How you doing buddy?" I asked him, pushing his bangs out of his face. I only got a groan out of him as a response.

I gave him a comforting smile. "Will you be alright with Ai if I go out and get some medicine and stuff for you tummy?" I asked. He criec and clung onto my shirt. I would take that as a no. I managed to lull him to sleep, with some humming and swaying. I covered him with a blanket, but left him in the bathroom incase he woke up to vomit.

" Ai, I'm gonna head out to buy something, you need keep am eye on your brother, and lock the door, I have a key so I won't knock, you know what to do," I told her, while digging out some spare cash I keep in my drawer.

"Can you buy oranges?" she asked on excitement. I smiled, grabbing even more money. I left via the roof, as it seemed like the safest way, which it was.

I made it to a store, got what was needed and was heading back. Out of habit I checked my phone. I was a block away from the my neighboorhood when some screaming caught my attention. I turned to find a ground of colorfully familiar people. "Come on Deku, you've got a better memory than me, which way to her place?" Kacchan asked Izu-kun, who he had in a head lock.

"Come on, let's just go back," my best friend begged the blond haired idiot.

"It's one more black down than three blocks to the right," I butted in. The entire group of six turned around to face me, looking a little surprised. "But my brother's sick, and I have a small apartment, I doubt much studying will get done."

"I told them this," Deku declared, still trapped in the headlock. I was going to argue with them about coming, but I saw a group of teens looking ready to beat us up.

"Fine, just follow me," I said frantically, trying not to show it. I rushed over to the fire escape I've been using to get onto the roofs. There was a Humm of confusion as I started climbing. "This is ment to be studying for our final, so why not get in some parkor practice," I offered with a smile and a shrug. They seemed to buy it and let me led them across the roof tops until we got to mine. Uraraka was about to jump to the next roof, before I opened the door to the stair well.

They awkwardly followed me down to the third floor, where my apartment was. "Just to let you know, it's nothing really special, I don't even have a TV. I walked in to find Ai had somehow turned the couch so the back was facing the door and she held up a pan as a weapon. " You're home! And not dead!"Ai declared at the sight of me, jumping over the back of the couch." Deku  Baku! "she yelled at the sight of my friends and ran up to hug them. She looked up to the two a lot, I wasn't sure why but she did.

" Make yourself at home, "I told my friends as I went off to check on Ai. He was still in a terrible condition. I gave him some ginger ale and saltines before putting him to bed in my parents' room, as it was closer to the bathroom.

I went out to the main room to find everyone was already working. Ai had even settled down and was doing her own homework while sitting between Izu-kun and Kacchan, who she probably forced to sit next to eachother. I grabbed my bag from my room and joined the group.

We spent a couple hours studying, I jumped around to help explain things to everyone, and then to take care of my siblings, where Ai fell asleep an half hour after everyone arrived. "I can't take it anymore!" Krishna declared before through in his head back. "My head hurts."

"We have been studying for two hours," Izu-kun pointed out.

"I think I actually understand what we learned, thanks Jikan," Uraraka looked up at me. She gave me a smile and I gave her one back.

"I'm sorry for being so blunt Amane," I Ida burst, "but how, why do you live in a place like this!?" I was actually happy cause they had yet to ask me this question. I got depressed and brought my attention to my lap.

Of course they wouldn't understand, but I could at least try to explain. "Cause it's all we can afford," I shrugged, "My parents don't have respectable jobs, and the onky income we get is from my part time job and tutoring. I actually spent the first four years of my life without a home, so you know this place might be trash to you, but this is the best I got." I got a bit defensive part way through. They had no right to judge me.

" I'll walk you guys to the station, "I grumbled, picking up my things to bring into my room. I begrudgingly led the way back across the roof tops, bot waiting for the others to catch up. Izu-kun suddenly appeared at my side.

" Ji-chan," he sighed, running to keep up with my pace. " You shouldn't hold it against them. Most people don't want their friend to live in poverty, so they shocked when they learn that they do."

"You didn't," I reminded him, "You just finally understood why I was always at the park and not the home playing. Your view on me didn't change, neither did Kacchan, but them they now see me as nothing more than a helpless street rate. They try not to show it. But I see that face every day as I walk around I my old clothes, and miguyvered braces. It's all I am. It's all I will ever be. " I jumped down into an alley abandoning my classmates, and great in whatever is to await me.
