The day of finals finally came. I was standing alone in the back of the class, where I felt the most at home. Izu-kun was hyperly bouncing in the front of the class, fan boying over all the heroes. I patiently listened to the teachers explain the practical exam. What sorta freaked me out was the partner thing, as there was an odd number of students in the class, and that was thanks to me. I listened anxiously as they said the partners, hoping I had one.
"And Amane, you'll be alone," Aziawa-sensie finished. He didn't say who I was facing, which made me even more anxious. "The exam will also be different for you, as a time limit is rediculous if you can manipulate that as much as you want." Wait, so what would I be doing? This doesn't help me! Neither did the entire class watching me trying to suppress a panic attack.
Kacchan came up and slapped me on the back." You're lucky, you don't need to be partners with Deku," he grumbles trying to help and keep up his tough guy act in front of the class.
I started screaming in Norwegian, not even sure what I was saying myself. I anxiously watched the others' exams with Izuku, and started trying to figure out the weakness they were going to try and make me over come. Probably me not liking to use my quirk, which appeared to be the opposite of two of my classmates.
When it finally came time for me to go at it alone everyone in the vicinity wished me luck. I was already coated in sweat and was breathing heavily without doing anything too strenuous. Thank you anxiety. It was my first time I was ever anxious for a test in my life, not including the entrance exam.
I was put right into the test, not even told what to do. I was in the ruins of the battle between Principal Nezu and Kaminari and that pink girl that I have yet to learn her name. I walked around confused on what I needed to do to pass. I had entered through the exit, which closed behind me. That was before a wall almost fell on me. I needed to slow down time on the rubble for it to miss mee completely. I walked away from the dust settling behind me.
Do I ha me the same test as those two? That would be easy for me to pass though. All I knew was that I needed to get to high ground. I looked to the most stable structure near me and started parquoring my way up it. I was halfway to the top before is started crumbling. I froze time and used the falling rubble as a staircase to the ground. "You really want me to use my quirk, don't ya..." I mumbled to myself. I sorta wanted to spite them and pass with barely using my quirk.
I continued to dodge falling debree as I hunted down some good high ground. I found this one singular beam surrounded by rubble. If anything here to fall it wouldn't reach it, a perfect place to climb. I started climbing up the rubble to get to the beam. In the air floated a pink fog. I recognized it as Midnight's gas. Oh, so I need to fight Nezu and Midnight, totally fair. "Come on little girl, you've been running around this entire time, don't you want to take a nap," the teacher's voice came from the thickest area of the fog, right at the foot of the beam. I needed to keep a hand over my mouth as to not inhale too much of the sleeping gas. I could charge in and fight, but even with two hands I would be at such a disadvantage.
I was getting light headed, I needed to get rid of the gas before I fell asleep and failed. I felt a slight breeze, probably cause we wet ein a valley of rubble. I speed up time on the air around us, turning the air into a large breeze. It must have affected the ability for Midnight to breath as I wouldn't know cause I was already holding my breath. Once the fog was gone I saw a way to get to the top without engaging in a fight.
I ran at her, looking like I was going to fight. Sticking out of the rubble was a metal bar I picked it up she covered her head with her arms, expecting me to use the bar as a weapon. I turned back time on the bar to when it was soft enough to be formed. I burned my hands in doing so, but it would helpe in a U shape more than straight. I jumped at Midnight, speeding up time on myself as to get more height. I wrapped the bar around the vertical beam and started shimmying my way up the beam Mulan style. On top I needed to balance on one leg cause the beams diameter was so thin.
It had been shaking my entire way up and was really wobbly as I tried to get an entire feel for the area around. I almost fell once, and I gave in. I froze time as to get a better idea on what I was supposed to do. I was looking around in all directions. That's when I saw it, a pair of handcuffs, hanging from the top of the ladder to the crane.
They only said I didn't have a time limit, so my objective is clearly the same as my classmates. But I still had both Midnight and Nezu, why two instead of one like the others. Well maybe I don't have Nezu, and the place was still falling due to the aftermath of before. Not likely, but could be a possibility. I need to check. I took a jump straight up, still looking at the crane. It was barely viable but I saw it, a flash of white. The little rodent that was my teacher. Still didn't answer any of my questions.
I looked down at my other openent. She had a hand to her ear, mouth frozen mid sentence. It looked like she was talking to someone. It hit me, she was. I wasn't facing a single "villain" like my classmates, but an orginization. And those hand cuffs are for the leader. But who is it.
