The final day of camp was approaching, and I was spending more and more time with Shoto. Like it wasn't that strange, we would be around each other every know and them during school. But we met during breakfast and wouldn't part ways until it was lights out. I have him the sole book I brought in Japanese and we would read together. It was nice to be around him.

We were woken up earlier than usual that day. We were all filed onto the busses  and Ed a small bag ad they did. We were all too tired to ask any questions, but upper class men seemed to know what was going on. Every so often the buss would stop and some students got taken off the bus. That was when a murmur in confusion started.

Soon it came my time to get off, as they were going alphabetical. "See you tomorrow morning," the teacher told me then left me, I only had a bag and the clothes on my back. Little did they know I hadn't gone to sleep the night before end had snuck a bag off marshmallows into my bag, which only contained a canteen of water, basic tools, and a sleeping bag.

"Looks like some basic survival training to me," I said, pulling a knife out of the bag. "I got clean water and food," popped a marshmallow into my mouth, "Time for a shelter." I turned around and started hunting for a big enough tree. I found one that I was pretty sure would work. I sat my bag down at the foot of the tree and started working. I speed up time on some trees around me. I made sure to follow the path where they would be brought to a logging factory and turned into planks. Now I had a good amount of wooden planks to use for a platform in the tree. I found a handful of acorns and replanted them having them grow in a matter of seconds to replace the trees I killed.

I sped up time as I worked  making a platform in the tree out of the planks I had created. I unfriendly time and climbed up onto the platform. I was cautious as I walked across it. Once I was safely standing in the center a took a small jump, to see if it could resist that. When the boards only dent a fraction underneath me instead of splintering into pieces, I knew it was safe. I moved my bag up to the platform and tried to figure what to do next.

Well the leaves of the tree do supply some coverage, but if it were to rain  it would barely help. Thus I set out to create a roof to my shelter. Wood wouldn't work for what I wanted. I grabbed a knife and found an area with thick grass. I climbed up the branch of the tree above  and cut away the foliage blocking out most of the sun on the plants below. I focused making the Gras grown and an extraordinary rate. I jumped down and cut away the tufts of grass, which I used to weave a thick cloth. It took up a good chunk of my time making it.

I had just finished tieing it into place when I decided to figure out time it was. I climbed up to the top of the tree to see the sky above. Judging from the position of the sun it was eleven ish, closer to noon than eleven. "I'm board," I declared, flopping down onto my board floor.

As if on que some exciting happened. There was a rustle of leaves, which caught all my attention. I grabbed my knife, prepared to use it in defense. I crouched on my platform, preparing to attack if nessicary. First I saw red, then white, and then a familiar face. He looked ready to attack, just has I felt. "Hey Shoto," I greeted my buddy, "Do you have a tracker on me I should be worried about?" It was a joke, as he happened to find me in the entirely of these woods.

"I was looking for camp," he explained what he was doing out here wandering around before either even asked. "Is that safe?" Shoto was cautious of my make shift shelter for the day.

"I made it, and I think it is," I shrugged," I know it can hold me. " I slapped the wood below me. " Come up here and let's see if it can hold the both of us." I scooted out of the middle of the platform for there to be more room for him. He easily climbed up and sat down next to me.

Havung him there with me put me more at ease. Being alone has always but me sorta on edge, so having someone there calmed me. Especially sense it was him. "So, how's surviving going for ya?" I asked, wanting to melt away my bordem with conversation.

"Better now that I have some shelter," he said with a playful smile that I've learned to notice in the past week. His face barely shows any emotion, but if you look close enough you can see these minor changes.

"I wouldn't count it as a masterpiece, but it works for it's purpose," I shrugged. "I'm surprised I haven't heard an explosion yet. Baku's got to be at the end of his limit by now."

"He could have learned how to control his emotions," I laughed at the obvious joke, I could hear a short exhale from him, which was his laugh. I enjoyed being around him, it was calming, and I didn't feel like I need to force myself as much as when I'm around others.

When night fell I started trying to start a fire, which I was failing at. I flopped back into the grass dropping the knife and rock I was trying to use to get a spark. Shoto just walked over, placed his hand on the wood I had in a pile and it started on fire. "I could have done that from the start," he told me in a slightly mimicking tone.

I blushed and sat up, I tried getting warm from the now burning fire. "But I know you don't like using your fire quirk," I mumbled, rubbing my hand together in the warmth. He walked over to sit next to me, wrapping something around my shoulders. It was my sweatshirt that I had taken off earlier as I was working.

"Not in a fight," he answered. I snorted at this. We're sorta juxtaposition of a friendship.

"I get nor wanting to use a quirk, hell I have one no one even knows about," I snorted, picking up a marshmallow from beside me. "I have my reasons not to use it..." I froze remembering my choice, but it was best for everyone, "Even my time quirk I didn't really like to use until recently. But during a fight seemed like the only reasonable time to use it." I tried shrugging off my regretful state and started roasting a marshmallow on a stick.

It suddenly started on fire, and I just screamed and threw the whole thing into the flames. This caused Shoto to actually laugh. I slowly forgot my decision in his presence.
