Caged, inside my head.
Screaming thrashing a nightmare falling like lead.
I'm tired, I've fought. I'm sick, is this all for naught?
My fists are slick with the blood of my tears.
How many demons have I slain throughout the years?
My demons laugh in my silent screams,
Their blood pours in turbulent streams.
I can't fight them any longer,
My faith isn't any stronger.
For the demons may be slaughtered,
But it's the angels that leave me tortured.
Chained with their golden ropes,
Praying and spitting their faithless hopes.
They say don't feed your darkness,
But what about angels? Their light seems just as heartless.
For in truth there is light,
But in truth, there is also pain that you must endure through the fight.
How can you battle two enemies at once?
What happened to good and evil?
It seems that they are just as equal.
I'm tired of this fight,
The walls are tumbling down tonight.
In darkness light sparks,
But in light the darkness has shards.
Neither will win while the other remains,
But if both parish nothing will stay.
So here I lay, hoping that my enemies will tarnish in the light of day.
