I stayed in her room for a solid hour just rummaging everything in there. From the closet, to the tables and shelves to the freaking drawers.
All because I've came up with a crazy, yet plausible answer to this mind-blowing phenomenon.
Witchcraft.
Now that I've recalled what Luna said yesterday - about wanting to be a guy and wanting to switch bodies with me - it has become a big possibility.
"Hunter! Let me be you for a little bit! I just want to know what it feels like!"
"Shoot me now and let me be reincarnated as a boy instead!"
I mean, what kind of weird coincidence is that? That what she wanted actually happen the exact day after she told me about it?
Somehow, there's definitely some sort of "magic" involved.
But unfortunately, my search has come to no avail. There's nothing conspicuous inside her bedroom. No weird-looking dolls, no book of spells, no dead geckos.
Nothing. No such basic witches shit. Just a heck lot of comic books, art supplies and other unimportant girl stuff.
It's not like I trust crazy beliefs like witchcraft, but compared to aliens and face transplants, it sounds a lot more realistically possible.
Then, as I'm looking under the queen-sized bed, a flurry of steps comes to the door. "Luna, I've made chocolate pancakes for breakfast! They're getting cold!" A soft woman's voice shouts from outside.
That's gotta be her mom.
Ugh, does this entire family consists of morning people? It's 9.00 a.m. on the weekend for crying out loud! And it's not like they have a clean-up every Sunday morning like we do at the hostel.
"Uh, I'll be there in five!" I shout back.
"Okay! Be quick cause Rigel said that he wants to take you the homeless shelter."
Rigel who? I mean, what sort of weird name is that?
"Um, sure!"
The steps flurry again before fainting into the distance. Finding nothing but random boxes and garbage underneath the bed, I stand back up feeling annoyed.
'What the heck am I doing?' I think to myself.
For some reason, my feet walk slowly back to the bathroom and after cautiously pushing the door open, I take a look at myself in the mirror again.
The reflection is still the same. I'm still this girl name Luna.
