Doppleganger - basically someone who looks like you that is not your twin.

I've only met people that look like me twice in my life.

Once, it was in elementary school and the person was a girl. She had the same haircut as me in the same dark brown color.

But her eyes were further spaced apart and she was a tad bit taller than I was back then.

The second time was when I went to Colonel Benton's High School for a basketball tournament. The guy was a star player on their team and nobody would shut up about how much we look alike.

Cameron even threw the ball in the guy's direction multiple times because he was color blind and our team wore blue while they wore purple.

I blamed him for our lost that day.

But even then, there had to be something separating us from each other. The guy had a more prominent chin or probably something a little bit different with his mouth.

Whatever it was, I didn't think that finding someone that looks kinda like you is all that shocking.

I didn't feel confused or anything like that. Just a tad bit interested - maybe.

Now, however, I'm so fucking perplexed that my brain cannot seem to decide whether I'm standing in front of a person or a mirror.

I've expected it, yeah, but I don't think anyone can be ready enough to look at themselves, standing in front of them, but as a different person.

I mean, that sentence doesn't even make sense.

-Looking at a person that is exactly you. No, looking at you but as someone else.

It's just... mind-blowing.

"H-hey." I hold up a hand towards the Hunter in front of me.

But he... he? I guess she didn't budge. She just stood in the doorway with her eyes widen and mouth slightly agape.

After what feels like a solid minute of just staring at each other, taking in every inch of flesh we once knew as our own and letting it sink in, she finally breaks her silence.

"This is... so weird," she mutters.

"Uhuh,"

"I..." we both say at the same time.

I put up my hand, signaling for her to let me talk.

"Let's... go to... uh, your room? And... uh,"

"Talk?" She finishes.

"Yeah."

"Okay."

🙈🙉🙊

We walk into her room. The same one I've waken up in a few hours ago.

Was that really a few hours ago? It feels like only minutes had gone by. Things are moving so rapidly that I cannot grasp at the way time is flowing.

One moment you're eating breakfast with a table full of strangers and the next you're in a room with a girl who's inside of your body.

How can you look at time normally after that?

Then again, there's nothing normal with this situation.
