-SEVEN-
Leo was back in his country and he was so pleased to have the necklace back. Nag-dinner din kami kasama si Ela and Talia. It was a nice, classy night on the yacht. The queen also talked to me via Skype. She wanted to know daw kung sino yung dating gusto ng anak niya. At first I can't breath let alone talk to her, but it turned out ang bait niya. She's down to earth and elegant. Your perfect queen.
And then Leo surprised me with a silver charm bracelet. It was so cute. Little dolls are dangling from it. I joked him na baka may meaning na naman yung bracelet na yun. So when it was cleared, I wore it. And in fact, I'm wearing it now on my way to a Japanese resto. Makikipag-usap na ko kay Xenon. Walang mangyayari kung magpapataasan kami ng pride.
I know I'm late kasi di nag-alarm yung phone ko. Xenon is an early bird kaya for sure andun na yun at bagot na sa kakahintay.
"Sorry I'm late," I apologized as soon as I get down on my seat. Tinanguan lang niya ko tska tipid na ngumiti.
A waiter came to take our orders. I ordered black noddles. The place is loud because of the chattering of spoons and forks. Kami lang yata ang tahimik dito. I played with my phone, browsing pictures in Instagram which Talia created for me.
Ugh! Nakakaasar talaga si Talia. She posted our photo with Leo pala. Ngayon ko lang nakita. People are bombarding it with comments and likes. Some say, 'kill those girls!' 'Suerte' 'gosh! Leo babe akin ka nalang!' and the likes.
"Hey, you're smiling." I looked up only to find his gaze. My smile faded away, making him frown a little. I gave him a timid smile. Awkward.
Bumalik ulit ako sa ginagawa ko. Wala naman kasi akong sasabihin. Sa sobrang layo na yata ng na-scroll ko nakita yung picture ni Xenon kasama siya. I automatically shut my phone off.
The food was served already so I dig in. It's a good thing may fork sila or Xenon asked them to, either way I'm happy. Their black noddles was good I must say.
"Amilyte---" he said seriously but then stopped again because his phone rang. I lowered my gaze again and eat. He sighed exasperatedly.
I nodded then said, "Take the call."
"Hello? Sino 'to?" A pause, then his face turned white. I looked away from his face. Kung sino man siya, nasira niya yung lunch ko.
I was forced to look at him nung binalibag niya yata yung phone sa table.
"It was Aurora," he confided. My brows were raised automatically. I was surprised.
"And why are you telling me this?" I asked bitterly.
"Because you ought to know, Ami," he told me like I'm a pain in the ass.
And then I was supposed to say something unintelligible but I bit my tongue. I remember why I came here. I came here to freshen things up not to make another row.
I put my fork down then gulped a very nice iced tea.
"Xenon," I started. I dropped my gaze then continued, "I'm sorry. I'm sorry I lost my trust to you but you can't deny it. Even now I'm already saying sorry, I'm still doubting you. I didn't know what happened, I just saw it then make my conclusions about the darn photo. I just wanted you to know I feel bad when I'm not talking to you but then, I also feel bad when I talk to you. So, please. All I want is to clean the air between us," I uttered and finally, I looked up at him. He was remorseful, maybe because he thinks I'm just stupid for lowering my pride or maybe he feels sorry for me because he's gonna break up with me after.
"Hindi mo naman na kailangan humingi ng sorry. It wasn't your fault, Ami. I was the asshole who let that darn girl kissed me. I know it wouldn't happen it I wasn't drunk but still, it's my responsibility. I'm so so---" this time my phone interrupted both of us. Damn. He frowned a little and I can't help but chortle.
