The world you get lost in
When you're stuck in a book.
It's romantic and magical,
You don't know it? Take a look!
The smell of new pages,
The blurb, the untouched spine.
The wow in the title and
The tear in your eye as you
Read the last line.
The ship name of two characters.
The smile as you Read your favourite part.
The school for good and evil-
I have a special place for it in my heart.
When you pick up a book
And read it again.
When you're tired and stressed
Or hearing thunder and rain.
When you're anxious and scared
And you can just slip out of the world,
As you learn about new people And watch their stories unfurl
A new storyline, a spin in the plot
And I hope you now see
That being a bookworm
Is the best thing I could be.
