Payson's POV
I kissed Chandler this time. But of course, I didn't want everyone to see, so I pushed him into the booth, then I kissed him. His soft lips pushed against mine. I could tell I surprised him, which made me smile into the kiss a little, and I felt him smile too. I laughed and pulled away. I shook my head and put my hand to my lips, feeling the tingle of what was left of the kiss, and I giggled.
Chandler has a crooked smile and looks at me.
"Wh-what is it?" He chuckled the words.
I shook my head and smiled
"Nothing I just.... I wasn't expecting myself to do that."
"Well if it makes you feel any better, I wasn't expecting it either."
At this point, We are both laughing uncontrollably when a costumer comes up to me with a toy.
"That's gonna be-- it's uhh-- $25"
I said between my laughing. He gave us a confused smile and as soon as he walked away, me and Chan broke out into an even worse fit of laughter than before.
"I love this." He laughed.
"Love what?" My laughing died down a bit at the thought of what he might say.
"Getting to be myself without people hating on me, or hating on you."
"People are hating on me?!" I was kind of surprised.
"Well no it's just... With Rachel, I'd try to be happy and then people would get mad. Then she'd get frustrated and then it was more stressful than fun around her."
He shrugged like it was no big deal but I could hear it in his voice that it hurts him.
Before I know what I'm doing, I pull him into a hug. He places one hand on the small of my back, and the other on the back of my neck, since my hair is up.
One minute we are kissing, the next laughing hysterically, and now we are having a serious moment...
We pull away and I smile at him.
"I'm glad you don't have to pretend around me." I say.
"I'm glad you're not stressful."
My mouth dropped with a light smile before I punched him on the arm.
"When do you need to get back?" I ask, not wanting him to go, but knowing he has to. What has gotten into me?! I've never been this 'clingy' type.
"Uuhh.. Probably soon. I just wanted to come talk to you... Make sure you weren't.. Upset about last night." He stuttered.
"Why would I be upset?"
"Well. I don't know cause after... You know... We kissed, you ran off..." He brought his hand to the back of his neck. I love that he's nervous around me.
"I just kissed you. You think I'm upset?" I chuckle, more to myself than to him.
"Well obviously not now! That's what I originally planned to talk about but, I guess that's settled." He smiled at me, then continued.
"So when are you moving? Do you know?"
"Yeah umm... I think 2 weeks? I'm still not sure on the exact day but my dad wants everything packed and ready to go in two weeks." I nod, knowing the conversation got a bit awkward.
We ended up talking a bit more about the move, what he likes about Georgia. I'm actually glad it's Georgia that i chose, there's a lot more acting opportunities there than in Indiana.
I hugged him goodbye before my dad got back, and Chandler had to go back to his booth.
The day ended up going a lot quicker than I expected. I went to see chandler at his booth for a couple minutes, talked to William and Gina. I think me and Grayson get along pretty well too, which is great cause he's a funny kid. I said goodbye to him, again. But this time there was no kiss, since it was in front of his parents. But Grayson seemed to know what was going on, which made me chuckle. The funny thing was though, when me and Chandler were hugging, he whispered in my ear:
"Next time"
