Paysons POV
Chandler stood there, he didn't say anything as we put our foreheads together.
"This doesn't fix everything." I whisper as I rub my thumb across his jaw line.
"I know." He whispers back. "I want to talk about it. Not about it, but I want to tell you what happened."
All I did was nod. I don't want to think about it again but a part of me wants to know what the hell happened.
"I got into the theatre and she was there with her family. I asked her why she was there tonight and she just said it was a coincidence...""And then you just happened to kiss her out of coincidence." I say, not sadness this time, I'm just pissed off.
"Payson will you listen to me?!" He says harshly. He took a deep breathe as yet another freaking tear goes down my cheek. He starts more softly this time."I did not, kiss her. She kissed me. I guess she saw you come in because she glanced toward the door real quick and then kissed me. I pushed her off as soon as possible and then I saw you run out and I couldn't breathe Payson. I couldn't breathe." His voice cracks and I can tell he's about to cry. I can't find any words, so I just nod and wipe my tears. I put my hand up to his cheek, and he leans into it, with his eyes closed and few tears coming out. I wipe his tears too and whisper to him.
"Stop. Please don't..."
He chuckles a bit, just as he opens his eyes to me."I think I've cried enough for the both of us for tonight." I smile at him.
"Huh. Okay." He nods. And I hug him. I wrap my arms round his neck and his arms tight around my waist. And I mean tight. But it's comforting, not painful.
"I don't want to let go." His quiet voice cracks as he speaks into my neck.
"I know." I mumble.
I feel myself being separated from him and realize he moved away.
"You must be freezing." He looks at me from my converse all the way to my hair.
"Was that your way of checking me out?" I joke.
"Maybe." He laughs. "Come on we need to get you inside somewhere." he grabs my hand an I intertwine out fingers.
"Not the movies, anywhere but there." I say.
"The arcade." He gives me a competitive smirk. "But you should probably text Cassie and Sam back."Cassie's POV
"It's been like 20 minutes where are they?" I say as I look at the exits if the theatre, waiting for them to come in, when I see Rachel looking at me. I decide to give her the dirtiest look I've ever given anyone ever before, grinding my jaw and everything making sure she sees my frustration. She gets a scared expression and she turns back around. That's what I thought. I will surely beat the shit out of that bitch if she tries anything else. Sam looks at my expression, and follows my glare to Rachel, then laughs."Cass," he puts his hand on top I mine and I instantly relax. "She's okay. They're both okay." He tries to reassure me as the ads go on.
"Why hasn't she texted me back?! Or called me? Why hasn't Chandler called us with an update?" I ask him, and he pulls Chan's phone out of his picket.
"He dropped it on his way out." He shrugs.
"How are you so calm about this?!" I whisper."Because they belong together. They're perfect for each other, everyone can see, even Rachel, that's why she's so jealous. Because the first two months of Payson and Chandlers relationship, is already 20 times better than theirs was in a year." He smiles, dimples showing and blue eyes sparkling in the light coming from the screen, and I smile at him.
"They'll text us soon, I'm sure." He reassures me, and I lean into him as the movie starts."In the Chicago district, their are 5 factions." Shailene Woodly's voice starts.
((Double update because I wanted to! :) I honestly can't remember how divergent starts so I made that up a while ago 😂 sorry that it's not correct))
