So we have been officially moved in for a week now. Officially meaning we have all the boxes unpacked and most of the furniture where we want it to be. We dont have all the stuff upstairs that we want, like another couch, some big bean bags, computer desk, mini fridge, mostly stuff like that.
There's only less than a month left of school for this school district, yet my dad insists on making me enroll in classes for the last month of school.
He says I still need to go to meet new people, make more friends, blah blah, but I've never really been good at being "outgoing". You'd think I would be but, with my clumsiness, and awkwardness at social interactions, I don't think I make the best first impression on on people, but, my dad insists. And there's no arguing with him, he wins every argument even if he's wrong and he knows it. I can't blame him though, that's why we butt heads a lot, we are both so stubborn, but I'm also like my mom in that way, she knew when to give up and let him "win" even when he didn't.
Today is my first day at the new school and I'm nervous. Mean, trip over the carpet, fall down in the hall, drop the mascara in the toilet nervous. So, now I had to get my new tube of mascara that I didn't want to open until later, but thanks to my clumsiness, I had to open it now. Ugh. Thank god Chandler only films during the summer. I'd still have Cassie and Sam to show me around too I guess but I don't know, I just feel more comfortable knowing he'd be there.
I leave my house about 20 minutes early to go over to Cassie's. I kiss my dads head and tell hi. Goodbye before I walk over there.
"Good luck sweety. You're gonna need it!" He yelled as I open the door.
"DAAAAD!" I say in a 'come on now, really?' Tone of voice. I walk over to Cassie's ringing the door bell when Livvy answers.
"Hey Liv, where's Cassie?"
"She's up in her room. Go on up." She smiled and lets me in.
Good thing I've been coming over all this week to know where her room actually is. Of course, I've had to wait until she got home from school, which was boring. But now I don't have to worry about that since we'll be getting home at the same time.
"Hey chika." I say.
"Oh great, already talking Spanish and you aren't even in school yet." She laughs. I shrug, and sit down on the edge of her bed while she straightens the rest of her hair. When it's time to go out to get on the bus, we grab our things and head out. The bus ride wasn't too bad I guess, I sat with Cassie, in the seat right in front of Sam and Chandler. Sam and Cassie both know we are dating, but when me and chan are around them, we try not to be so... "couple-y" if that makes sense. We just act like best friend so there's no awkwardness with our relationship.
"Are you sure you'll be okay without me?" Chandler asks as he leaves me with the school guide named Brett.
"I was fine for 14 years before you." I smile, hug him, and kiss his cheek.
"I'll see you at lunch okay?" I reassure him. He nods and walks out the office doors.
Brett claps his hands once, which startles me and makes me jump. I turn towards him and we both laugh.
"Alright Payson. When the bell rings, I'll show you around while everyone is in their classes, so the hallways won't be so crowded." He smiled and his smile is perfect. Like beyond perfect, straight teeth, bright white, and I swear they sparkled. His dirty blonde hair spiked up with gel, matching his light brown eyes like mine. I stood their staring at him before I snap out I it.
"Oh sorry... Uh Yeahh, let's go." I say as the bell rings. He opens the door and points his hand in the direction we are going. I smile and mumble thanks, before following the direction.
