My eyes flutter open, blinking a few times as I sit up —decision that I instantly regret. I rub my temple to ease my throbbing headache. I look around and gasp when I see Killian Ferreira lying next to me.
What the hell happened?
Flashback
'Killian trails kisses along my jaws as I begin unbuttoning his shirt. I let my hands roam his hard chest until I stop at his V line and lets out a groan before tossing me on the bed.
He hovers over me, his lips brushing against my neck and stopping at a particular spot that he nibbles on. When he feels satisfied with his work, he makes his way down my stomach and lifts his head up, meeting my gaze.'
I quickly look down at my body and release a breath when I notice I'm still fully clothed in yesterday's clothes. If we evaluate my current situation, there are probably a million ways that can explain how I landed myself into this situation but I'll think about it later when my head hurts less. I make the executive decision to get out of bed to go find painkillers before my brain bursts out of my skull.
Exploring what looks like a penthouse, I come across the kitchen and roam the different drawers, sighing in relief when I find a bottle of Advil. I walk towards the fridge and take out a bottle of water before walking back to the room, strolling to the window to pull the curtains open. I pop a pill in my mouth and chug it down with some water. I nearly spit out my water when I hear a yawn.
I quickly turn around to see Killian laying on his back, his arm shadowing his eyes from the light —tattoos and abs on full display. I walk towards the bed, handing him the Advil and water that he politely declines.
"Are you sure?"
He nods and moves to sit at the edge of the bed before pulling me into him. He starts to leave a trail of kisses along my jawline, moving slowly to my lips but I cover his mouth with my hand. To my surprise, this insufferable man grabs my hand and kisses my palm instead. I take advantage of the moment where he averts his gaze somewhere else to grab my phone from the nightstand and quickly unlock it, calling Jas.
It rings a couple of times before she picks up.
"Hello?" She practically groans into the phone.
"Hey Jas, are you and P okay?" I greet, my eyes trained on Killian who's coming toward me. I gesture for him to stay put.
"Yeah, we're alright."
"I'm sorry I had to leave abruptly like that."
"It's fine, baby, Marcus got us back to the hotel safely." She replies, letting out a tired yawn. "Speaking of which, girl where are the hell are you?"
I open my mouth to reply but Killian grabs my waist, pinning me under him and he snatching my phone from me.
"Zahra? Hello? Are you still there?" Jas asks, now on loudspeaker.
"I'm here."
"Anyway, girl, I was probably out of it but I could have sworn I saw you leaving with Killian last night."
As if summoned, Killian's face beams instantly. I give him a warning look with my eyes that he ignores, instead he smirks at that and leans into my neck.
"Nah, it wasn't like that. We were just chi—" Killian bites my neck making me yelp.
"Baby, are you are you okay?"
"I'm fine." I reply, throwing daggers at the culprit with my eyes. "Listen, get some rest and I'll see you and Paris later, okay? I love you."
"I love you more." She replies before hanging up.
Killian looks down at me, a smirk plastered on his lips. "Breakfast?"
"You're a dead man."

After breakfast, Killian asked me to go to practice with him and after several attempts, I finally agreed. I look around the large field where a couple of players are training with their coaches, my eyes landing on Killian as he fist bumps a team mate who just scored.
Moments later, the coach blows his whistle, signaling the end of practice. Killian strolls towards me, a towel hanging at his neck with his water bottle and bag in his hand.
"You weren't too bored?"
"No."
"Of course, you weren't. You were watching me after all."
I roll my eyes. "Are you always this cocky?"
He shrugs taking a gulp of his water.
I raise a brow at him waiting for a more elaborated answer but he doesn't answer and instead, places his bag on his shoulder and grabs my hand, intertwining our fingers before leading us out of the stadium.
Killian POV
I managed to bribe Zahra into spending more time with me. I honestly didn't think she was going to agree to coming to the stadium let alone want to spend the day with me but she did. Anyway, for the past hour, we've been playing pool and I've been going easy on her, which she's not very happy about.
"You're not holding it right."
"Stay there, pretty boy." She warns taking a step back and hits a wall, just like I had predicted.
"Not so brave anymore, huh? Where's all that talk now?" I whisper in her ear before leaning back to watch her flustered face.
"You're on."
Zahra POV
I watch as Killian angles his stick to the ball. I move a little closer and he looks back, chuckling.
"Keep messing around and I'll take you on this table."
I smile innocently, stepping back.
He shakes his head, going back to angling his stick. Just as he's prepares to hit the ball, I move closer and watch him quietly. He hits the ball and misses.
I let out a laugh. "Not so slick anymore, huh?"
"You play dirty."
I roll my eyes and just as I'm about to hit the ball, I feel hands on my arm.
"Get your hands off me." I warn, angling the stick with the ball again.
I hit the ball and it lands in the left pocket. I turn around, grinning from ear to ear as I show him the ball that just landed in the pocket.
"That's my girl!" A smile appears on his face as he looks at me.
Fucking hell. That was hot.
