Mexico City, Mexico
Killian POV
My music is cut off by a call as I jog around the beach. I stop in my tracks, taking the call and grin when I see who it is.
"Pick up your pace, pretty boy." Zahra's voice resonates in my ears. "You're slower than a fucking snail."
"Hello to you too."
She chuckles before clearing her voice. "I need your help."
"The Zahra Pierce needs my help?" I tease.
"I wouldn't ask unless it was really important."
"Dale."
"Take your right then take a left and walk up the stairs. There's a little a hot dog stand in the corner."
"That's not creepy at all." I stop in my tracks and look around, frowning as I spot a hot dog stand a few meters away. "Zahra, why are you tracking me?"
"A car will pull up in exactly five minutes." She informs before cutting the call.
I sigh and do as instructed, following all the directions she gave me.
Slightly out of breath, I stand at the top of the stairs and wait as I check my watch. Just like she just said, a white Rover parks right in front of me. I get in, closing the door only to find Zahra, in all of her glory, staring back at me.
"Hey, pretty boy."
I pull her into my arms, engulfing her into a hug. "What are you doing here?"
"I was just testing our new tracking device." She retorts as we pull back. "And judging by your reaction earlier, it works perfectly."
"You know for someone who claims to not care about me, you sure have a funny way of showing it."
"I don't know what you're talking about."
"You came all this way to test a device?"
"Yes."
"On me?"
"Don't you have a match to get to?" She replies dismissively, a smile tugging at her lips.
I know she cares. I'm just waiting on her to realize it on her own.
Flashback
"Would you stop?" I chuckle, shaking my head at Zahra in amusement as she shoots another glare their way.
She tosses her gym bag over her shoulder. "I'm not doing anything!"
"You're scaring my fans away."
"Here I am hoping my face accomplishes just that." She mumbles.
I quickly grab her hand before she tries anything, pulling her towards the exit. Once they are fully out of sight, a woman in her sports bra jogs past us, winking at me. My eyes widen but I immediately turn my head to stare at Zahra.
"She's cute."
"Anything with legs is cute to you." She snorts, letting go of my hand as we walk out the building to our respective cars. Marcus walks opens her door, waiting for her to get in.
"You're cuter." I taunt trying to tease her.
She rolls her eyes before getting inside the car.
"Ay Dio mio!" I gasp, furrowing my brows in fake confusion. "Is the beautiful and mighty Zahra Pierce jealous?"
"Shut up."
