« EDITED »Six months had passed.
Jackson had found a job at a large company and had been living well with the minimal help he got from his parents. They were proud of him and it felt nice.
The blonde grumbled incoherently to himself when someone rang the doorbell. He was laying on his stomach with his face hidden in his favourite pillow as an American sit-com played in the background.
When he wasn't at work he was binge-watching one show after another. It was a way of coping with the fact that he had no one, at the moment, to speak the language with.
Jackson sighed, immediately guessing the person beyond the door was his parents, so he fixed his appearance quickly and practiced his "I'm okay" smile. "Hi!" He beamed after swinging his door open blindly. He was hallucinating; he was sure of it.
"You seem like you've been doing well."
"I thought you were my parents," Jackson explained, inviting the older into his house. "They think I'm okay." Namjoon chuckled after glancing around at the surroundings.
"Jin and Mark are on the first floor, by the way." It only took the mentioning of his ex's name for Jackson to be down the hall and smashing the down button on the elevator impatiently.
He spotted the pair as soon as he exited the elevator. Jackson ran and when he got there, both elder males froze like they'd been caught in a game of tag.
"I'm sorry I left the way I did. I should have told someone sooner," Jackson apologied. Without muttering a word, Mark walked to him, pulling him into a tight hug.
"I'm sorry I left the way I did, the last time we spoke. I should have been more understanding," Mark whispered into Jackson's shoulder, subconsciously overjoyed that Jackson had seemingly rushed out to get to them.
"Sorry but your first sentence was automatically copyrighted so you're gonna have to find another sentence to apologies with."
"Seriously, Jackson?"
"Copyright, Mark," Jackson replied obnoxiously.
