Two streets down from the coffee shop, Mark and Jackson climbed the last flight of stairs to get to the fourth floor of an apartment building. They walked to the second to last door and Mark didn't waste a second, flipping the keypad cover up and punching in the code. There was a beep and Mark cracked the door open before informing Jackson that another person was staying at the apartment for the time being, as if the music past the door wasn't enough.
They entered the house and found someone with his back to them as he rapped along to a Show Me The Money performance. It didn't surprise Yi En because he knew it was the younger boy's favourite episode and performance. "Sup, Mark," he greeted, leaning against a wall that separated the kitchen from the rest of the room. The boy paused the show and turned around, a little surprised by the unknown male beside Mark. He had almost-platinum blonde hair that looked outright frizzy, a bandana keeping it out of his face.
"Been a while, Mark," Other Mark - as Jackson deemed him - replied.
"How's your high-schooler?" Mark rolled his eyes and shook his head.
"Haechan's doing good. But, I'm only, like, two years older than him so don't make it sound so weird," Mark argued. Yi En shrugged and walked to the couch, hopping over the back and flopping down where he landed. He nodded at Mark in an attempted chill manner that only earned him another eye roll from the bleach blonde.
"So rude," Yi En mumbled, shaking his head and motioning to an awkward and uncomfortable Jackson who was silently fretting over whether it was better to rest his hands behind his back or folded them over his chest. Yi En laid down fully, getting comfortable on the weathered couch. "Mark meet Jackson Wang from Hong Kong, Jackson meet Mark Lee from Canada," he introduced, staring at the pealing ceiling.
"Nice to meet you, Jackson," Other Mark said in Korean, adding a more-than-slight bow because he could just guess that the other male was older than him. Jackson blurted out a muddled mess of reassurance in English. The guy, Mark, was evidently younger but he seemed like a typical cool kid that went to one of those elite schools in the heart of the city.
"Mark's a first year at your college," Yi En informed, trying to avoid a longer pause. Jackson's motherly instincts kicked in (he'd been spending too much time with Jinyoung and Youngjae in the same room plus the transfer student) so he skipped over to Mark and pinched his cheek while cooing about how adorable he was, Mark complaining about already having a Taeyong, Jaehyun and boyfriend to do this.
"Your mentoring Lucas, right?" Mark inquired after managing to swat away Jackson's hands. Jackson stepped back and nodded, shocked. Mark hummed in acknowledgement.
"He's been hanging out with this other guy, Jungwoo, that my older friends know. I heard him mention a Jackson." The brunette huffed in disbelief and awe.
"It's honestly suspicious how there's so much people in this that are connected in some way," Yi En muttered, his words slurred from exhaustion catching up with him.
"Shut up," Mark hissed.
"Yeah, Mark, we have a fourth wall to maintain," Jackson chided, Yi En taking his turn in huffing. He shut his eyes and stretched out like unraveled string before standing drunkenly.
"Of course, let's just attack and harass the half awake character," he mumbled, dragging himself to Mark's room to the left and next to double doors that led to the old fire escape. Stripping in the process, he grumbled things about disrespect to mains.
