Mac's POV
It was time to fight. I was so fucked. He is stronger than me times ten. I have no strength. The only reason it hurt when I punched him was that I was determined to save Nikko. When we arrived at the quad the entire school was there. The good thing was that I wouldn't get teased because no one has ever beaten Adam in a fight. Adam was so ready to pulverize me. I could see it in his eyes. The fight began. The cheering was so loud I couldn't hear a thing. I swung and actually hit him but that same adrenaline wasn't there when I stood up for Nikko. I was so proud of myself until he decided to hit me back. We were punching and punching for at least 5 minutes until he swung and he knocked me out. When I woke up, Nikko was by my side. "Mac? Mac! You're awake!" he embraced me in a hug. "What happened?" he explained to me everything and how Adam knocked me out. "That doesn't sound like Adam. He would have kept punching me. I think something was holding him back. "Whatever it was, I'm glad you're awake," Nikko said. "Me too." I smiled and he smiled back. We talked until the nurse said it was ok to leave. We were still talking. He walked me home and even then we were still talking. "Well, I better get home." Nikko said "Yeah. Ummm thanks for having my back at school." I told him. "No problem. You were pretty brave back there." "I did it for you and only you." "Thanks." he hugged me before I opened the door. Wooah. I mean he's cu- cool. I'm not gay. At least I think I'm not anymore.
Adam's POV
I can't believe I actually made 'peace arrangements' with Jennifer. She wanted me to "just put Mac in his place, don't kill him". I was going to say sure to her not only because she was my little buddy in 3rd grade but because she has some....blackmail and I uh have a small crush on her... Anyways, back to blackmail. I'm surprised how good she is she at blackmailing people since she is the "goody-two-shoes". Since she's the ASB President, she has a list of all the clubs and their members. That means she has a list of all the clubs I'm in. That means she knows what I like to do. I grumbled, not wanting to seem weak but she knew the truth. "Oh and Adam? Let's just say I have my hands on some very powerful papers from the Choir class...". That's all she needed to say. She knew that I was the anonymous person that sung in the choir class. You may be asking yourself, " But don't the Choir kids know?". No, they don't. I get private classes with Mrs.Zezu, the Choir teacher. If my friends found out about this, they would tell the whole school and the reputation that I've been building up since 4th grade would be ruined. See, Winterberg Jr High has an elementary school right next to it. To the other side of it is the Highschool. So if you went to Winterberg Elementary (grades TK-5), you would be with the same kids in Winterberg Jr High. Most Jr Highs are grades 7-8 but since the city didn't want to build a middle school, it's grades 6-8 and some 5th graders go too because they are excelling in certain topics. All my childhood peers would know who I really am. And then I may get bullied. Can you imagine a bully being bullied? I can.
When the time for the fight came, I completely forgot about Jennifer. The fight began and I was really into it. That is until I saw Jennifer. Shit. She had a devilish look on her face but was also mixed with a tint of worry. I decided to just knock him out. I would apologize to Jennifer later. I didn't want her to tell the school about the anonymous Choir kid.
