Jac's POV
Shit. "J-Jac, are those....bruises all along both your arms?". How do I tell her? Mac has known about my abusive father since 1st grade. I didn't answer her. She repeated her question. "Jac? W-Who hurt you? I will kill them....". At this point, it looked like she was going to cry.
After another minute or so in silence, I took her arm and dragged her towards our tree. I motioned for her to sit down and she did. I took a deep breath and finally answered.
"My dad.".
As soon as I said that, I saw rage fill her eyes. Not only rage but disappointment and sadness too. Jen murmured something that was inaudible to me so she said it louder. By now she was doing her internal yelling thing. She took a deep breath and then said, "That motherfucker will pay... NOBODY harms my Jacob like that!".
Wait... Did she just say.... her Jacob? She probably means that platonically. I look over at Jen and she looks like she is going to explode. I don't know why I hid it from her for so long...
Jen's POV
His dad hit him? HIS DAD?! His dad was known as the nice guy in the town. I really don't know what to do..... It's barely 5:30 PM so Mac should just be getting home right now. I think I saw him exit the school with Nikko. I decide to get up and walk home, leaving Jac alone. I feel like I should tell someone o-or report his dad. I have to tell Mac though. I'll tell him tomorrow. When I got home my aunt was on the couch with Jeffrey. "Hi, honey! How was your day?" I ignored her and walked straight to my room. How could his dad HIT him? That's crazy. I care about Jacob a lot and I don't want him to suffer like this. I should get some rest. I have a plan though...
