Chapter Fifteen

Mac' POV

Its the afternoon of the dance, February 14. We had arrived 20 minutes ago. Everything was normal, so far. Since Nikko was off with Jen, Jac and I stayed behind. Just because we dont have a date doesnt mean we cant have fun. We were playing games like who could eat the most grapes or who could drink the most punch. Stuff like that. 

Then, the DJ made an announcement, "All couples will be introduced and HAVE to dance. I repeat, HAVE TO DANCE." I looked over to Jac and gave him a devilish smile. "I have to see this. This is going to be hilarious!" I said. Not only that, but this would be great as blackmail. See, the thing with us is that we LOVE blackmailing each other. I know, such great friends, huh? I waited until Jen and Nikko were announced. I won't lie, I felt a bit jealous but hey, friends help each other out and Nikko is just helping her out. But, DAMN did he look cute in his 'formal' outfit. I swear, I'm going to steal him from Jen before the dance is over if its the last thing I do. 

"And now, announcing possibly the CUTEST couple, our ASB President Jennifer Animy and Nikko Barque!" Did he just call them 'possibly the cutest couple'?! Okay, now that caught me off guard but I guess I'll let it fly by. Jen looked a bit....sad? I mean, I guess its because she is only doing this so she wouldn't have to go to the dance with Adam Rivera but I mean, she should at least look happy. I saw Nikko whisper something into Jen's ear. She was blushing a little and laughing now. She was genuinely happy. I won't lie, Nikko was HORRIBLE at dancing. Jen has always been good at dancing but Nikko, well. He could use a few lessons from Jen. To be honest, all three of us could use a few lessons from Jen. Since Nikko doesn't know how to dance, they were dancing very awkwardly, but they seemed happy. Even though Nikko is younger than Jen, he is taller than Jen. Actually, now that I think of it, all three of us are taller than Jen. Jen laid her head on his shoulder. Eh, I'll let it fly by. 

I continue to record. This is going to be GREAT blackmail material. I felt like taking Nikko away from Jen right about now. I mean, he is MY boyf riend, NOT HERS. Speaking of Jen and relationships, I need to get her and Jac together. I mean, I'm pretty sure that her little protective act of hurting Jac's dad was more than enough evidence to prove that she has a crush on him. Nikko told something to Jen and she began to giggle. Now, Nikko was the one that was blushing. Jen looked as happy as ever, though. Suddenly, Nikko put his fingers under Jen's chin and lifted her head so she is staring at his face. That's exactly what he does to me before he-. My thought is cut off when I see the scene going on in front of me. Nikko is leaning in. "N-No.... He wouldn't...." Apparently, he would. I felt tears form in my eyes. No point hiding it.

Nikko kissed Jen.
