"Hey, how are you?" I ask.
"Tired. And I miss you," Jorge replied.
"Me too. How was the training?"
"Great. My time was always one of the best."
"Rossi?"
"Mhm, and Pedrosa. He said he would fight for Marc."
I smile: "That's very nice:"
"What are you doing? Do you have a good time?"
"Yeah, it's warm and sunny. I was swimming in the lake."
"Really? But the water is still cold, right?"
"Hahahah, it's not cold - it's icy."
I hear how he sighs: "Take care of yourself, dear. If I hear you're cold, I'll go to the first plane and I come cuddle you."
"Hmmm... I'll think about it."
I am sitting on the terrace and I look toward the terrace door and I see Marc standing there. I smiled at him and he smiles back at me.
"I... I have to go," I say.
"Already?" Jorge asks sadly.
"Yeah, my mum and aunt need me in the kitchen."
I know, I lied, but... I have to use every moment when Marc is in a good mood.
"Oh... okay."
"We'll hear you later, okay?"
"Yeah, of course. Greet everyone."
"Thanks, I will. Bye."
"Sara..."
"Yes?"
"I love you."
"Mhm, same."

Then I hang up the phone and look at Marc, who is walking towards me. I put the phone on the table and I wait what is going to say when he sits opposite me. But he's quiet.
"So..." I start, "how are you?"
"Fine," he answered shortly.
I nod.
"And how are you? I hear you talked to Jorge."
I nod again.
"Is something wrong?"
I get up and walk along the path between the flower beds. He stands up and comes after me. I cross my arms on my chest and I look towards the lake.
"Hey, what's wrong?" he asks me again and hugs me around my shoulders. My skin is getting goose bumps and I feel the warmth. I would like to throw myself in his embrace.
"Everything is wrong," I say quietly. "I don't understand. Do you want to talk?"
I shake with my head: "No, I don't want to talk about this."
He removes his hands and he steps two steps away.
"Let's talk about Alex," I say and I step forward the path. I look back and see that he doesn't follow me this time. "Come on, let's go for a walk!" I call to him when he starts walking to me.
"Why don't you want to talk to Alex?" I ask him as we approach the forest. He has his hands in his pockets, so he just shrugs his shoulders. "Did he do anything to you?" I ask and he shakes with his head. "Look, Marc. You are brothers and best friends. I really don't know why you act like that to him."
"Don't criticize me," he said coldly.
"I don't. But I really don't understand why you're angry with him."
This time he stops: "Because he doesn't want to tell me the truth."
And that truth is that I am not really their cousin. This is my thing and I really don't want that they argue about this. I decide to tell him everything.
"Truth about?"
"You," he said and step closer to me. For a moment my breath stops and I need some time to get to myself. I nod: "You heard us at that time in the kitchen," I say.
"You're not my cousin, you know that, do you?" he repeats Alex's words.
"That's what Alex said," I say and he nods.
"So..." he starts and waits.
"It's true, Marc. I am not your cousin," I say. I can see how his face turned pale.
"Are you okay?" I ask.
"Y-yes, I'm fine. So it's true?"
"Mhm," I answer briefly.
"Now I understand why I have feelings for yo-" he begins but quickly shuts up.
"What are you feeling, Marc? Tell me."
"Nothing. I felt that we're not related," he said and began walking away.
He's lying.
"Fine. You wonder how I got into your family?" I ask him when I catch him.
"They must have adopted you."
"Yeah, it's true. Do you remember?"
"No, I don't, Sara," he said as he stopped again and looked at me. His gaze is full of pain and compassion.
We sit on a nearby log and I tell him the whole story.
It begins to get dark, so we decide to go back to the lake.
"Where have you been for so long?" dad asks us when we enter the house. "On a walk," I answer while Marc goes to the upper floor without any words.
"What about him?" dad asks. I shrug with my shoulders: "We had a difficult conversation."
Dad doesn't say anything more, he just nods, then he hugs me and kisses me on the forehead.
"Dinner is ready!" my aunt calls. "Finally," dad smiles, "go upstairs and call Alex and Marc. And hurry, it's lasagna for dinner."
"Oooo, great. We'll come right away," I say cheerfully and run upstairs. At first I go to our room to take a jacket and I see that Marc is not there. He probably went to apologize to Alex. So I decide to get to Alex's room. The door is ajar and before I knock, I wait for a while, because I hear that they're talking.
"Now I know what tortured me all the time, Alex," Marc said but Alex didn't answer him. "All this heat when I am near her... you don't know how I want to kiss her and hug her. I always knew that I felt something..." he continues.
"What do you feel?" Alex asks him this time.
"I love her."
When I hear what he just said, I get dizzy. I quickly lean against the wall and take a deep breath. Did he really say that? Yeah, he did! The devil on the left shoulder tap himself on his head, but the angel on the right shoulder sends me kisses. I still feel dizzy, so I decide to sit on a staircase.
"Sara! Where are you!?" mum called at the bottom of the stairs. "We'll be right there!" I call her back and I get up, but I feel dizzy again. At that moment, Alex and Marc walk there. "Wohoo, what's the matter with you?" Alex asks when Marc quickly grabs my hand so that I don't fall down the stairs.
"I feel dizzy. Probably because I am starved," I smiled. "Are you sure? Would you rather lie down?" Marc asks worriedly. "No, no. It's lasagna for dinner and if we don't hurry, my dad will eat it," I smile again, but Marc still holds my hand. "Now you are telling me that?" Alex asks and run downstairs: "When did you intend to tell us that?"
"I was just walking to you when the world starts spinning to me," I say to Marc, who understands me: "Don't worry. Alex is like Garfield and if we don't get hurried, we'll stay without dinner," he smiled. "Oh, you remember that?" I laugh. "Yeah, I do. Let's go," he said, and without letting my hand, we walked down the stairs.
"There's nothing left for you two," Alex said with full mouth.
"Good appetite, family," I say, sit at the table next to Alex and tap him on his back. Alex starts coughing and the whole family start laughing. "It happens if you're greedy," Marc said in a laugh.
"Marc is right, Alex. You're unbelievable," Roser said. "Mum is right, son. Behave yourself," Julia agrees with her.
Then, in peace, we continue with a dinner, which is truly delicious.
"Earlier, Sara almost fell down the stairs," Alex said as he licked his plate. I look at him with a killer glaze. He really has to spill everything.
"I only had a dizzy spell," I say and eat the last piece of lasagna. "We can go to the doctor," dad quickly said when I shake with my head: "No, no. I was just hungry. I am fine now."
"I'll make you some sweet lemonade," mum said and stood up. "It's not necessary, really. Please sit and continue eating," I say when she sighs and sits back.
"We can play some cards after the dinner, what do you think?" Roser asks.
"I am just in the middle of reading a very good crime, so don't count on me," Gloria said, as she stands up and takes her plate to the kitchen.
"I am waiting for Jorge's call, so maybe later," I smile.
"Count on me!" Alex shouts.
"What about you, Marc?" Roser asked. He just shrugs his shoulders: "I don't know if I remember how it goes..."
"Don't worry. You'll be watching us a bit, then you'll remember right away," my dad said. "Okay," Marc smiles.
"Well, we can meet at nine in the living room," mum said.
With Alex, Gloria and Marc we help mum and Roser to wash the dishes and clean the kitchen, then me and Gloria went on the upper floor.
"You felt dizzy earlier..." she said as we walk upstairs.
"Yeah..."
"How are you with your period?"
I look at her: "What are you going to say?" I ask her when she shrugs her shoulders: "If it's late, there's a chance that you're preg-"
"Sssh, don't even mention it! Are you crazy?!" I interrupted her.
"As I know, you're not taking contraception pills," she said and crossed her arms on her chest. "No, I don't," I answer shortly.
"What protection did you use with... well... with both of them? You know, at first with Marc and then with Jorge?"
"What nonsense are you asking, Gloria. I know who I slept with."
She doesn't say anything, she was just waiting.
"Okay. There was no protection. With none of them."
Gloria gapes up in this moment: "Whaaaaaaaat????????!!!!!!!!"
"Both of them were careful," I said quietly.
"Yeah, right! You know that it's already a great chance to get pregnant from pre-cum?"
I nod: "Yeah, but don't worry. See you in the morning, good night," I say, kissing her on the cheek and going to the room. Surely I am not pregnant. I sit on the bed and check the phone. No message and no call. I take a wallet from my purse, in which I have a menstrual calendar. Two days. I am only 2 days late. There is no reason for alarm. I quickly put the calendar back and start putting my clothes to the closet, when my phone rings. It's Jorge.
"Hey!" I answer and lie on the bed.
"Hello, baby. How are you?" he asks me.
"Tired, but happy, because I hear your voice again." Yeah, I am really glad to hear him again.
"I am tired too. And I am also insanely happy to her you. I miss you very much."
I smile.
"You know what I would do with you right now..." he whispers when I feel the heat. Uhhh, stop it. I am in a room with a boy! And this boy is Marc!
"Jorge..." I started but he interrupted me: "I would kiss your neck, suck your nipples and lick your pussy. Then I'd take you. Very hard."
Okay, I think I stopped breathing.
"What if we made one quick phone sex?" he asks me. I laugh: "Better not. My room doesn't have the key to lock."
"Tell Gloria to sleep on the couch today."
If you'd knew I am not sharing the room with Gloria...
"Well, about that..." I start when he interrupts me again: "Come on. I'll call you in twenty minutes," he said and he wanted to hang off.
"Don't hang off, please," I say quickly, "what if we did this tomorrow? I am really tired today."
"Well, okay, baby. Tomorrow then."
Huh, it was so close. I just smile when Marc comes in and I see that he's holding a glass of lemonade in his hand. He smiles at me and puts it on a nightstand, then sits on his bed.
"Sara? Are you still here?" Jorge asks.
"Yeah, I am here. Can you repeat?" I say and smile to Marc.
"Ah, nothing. Forget about it. Well, we have to say goodbye now. Talk with Gloria to not disturbing you tomorrow night, okay?"
I bite my lip: "Okay."
"I love you, Sara."
"I love you, Lor," I reply and look at Marc, who quickly looked at me. Yeah, I guess it hurts.
I put the phone on the nightstand and I take the glass: "Thank you. You don't have to."
"Maria insisted. Just watch it, it's very sweet."
I drank a sip and flinch - yuck! I like sweet lemonade, but that's too much.
Marc laughs: "I told you."
I put down the glass: "You don't like playing cards?"
"Ah, I gave up. Otherwise, I prefer to hang out with you." Uh, I'm blushing.
"So... have you already reconciled with Alex?" I ask. Like I don't know.
He nods: "Yeah, we're great. I am sorry if I interrupted your conversation with Jorge."
I swing with my hand: "Ah... there is no problem at all. It's great that you came. You know what kind of guys you are," I say and smile.
"What are we?" he asks and smirk. Is he doing that on purpose?
"Well, in the absence of sexual relations, you start losing your minds. Surely, you're doing the same thing and you call Ruby to do it over the phone," I laugh. He stops smirking and gets up. Sh*t, Sara - watch your mouth! I drink a little lemonade again. Yuck - it's really disgusting.
"I-I am sorry," I say then.
"We are not together anymore," he said and looked at me. I know that.
"Aren't you surprised?" he asks. I shrug with my shoulders: "I never liked her too much."
"I broke up with her after grandpa's birthday. She's not the one for me. She's too pushy and..."
"Nagging," we both say at the same time and laugh.
"And how did she accepted it?" I ask.
"She cried so that all the torrents in the country came up," he said and sat down to me. We laughs again.
"Enough of her. I want to hang out with you," he said and squeezed closer to me. I am blushing again.
"I-I..." I stutter, but then I don't continue.
"What if we take a shower and then we can play?" he asks.
"Play? With teddy bears? Or with cars?" I laugh again.
He smiles: "No. I want to know more about you."
I nod: "Okay, then let's take the shower."
"Together?"
"Ehm, no... no... you can take it first," I say.
"We can take it both at the same time," he said as I looked at him. He laughs: "We have two bathrooms, you know?"
Now, I laugh too. Yes, Sara. You forgot?
"I know, I test your memory," I am trying to slip out but I don't know if I succeed. He gets up and takes fresh clothes out of the closet and walks to the door: "I'll take downstairs bathroom, because I don't know how our older family members - especially men, survived your "wrapped only in a towel" pass by," he laughs and leaves the room.
Hahah, you fool!
