I walked over to the conference room and got the papers ready and soon enough there was a knock on the door and it was the clients.
Ben- well lucas isn't this a surprise I thought jack was going to be in this meeting
Lu- something came up so he was unfortunately not able to make it so I was more than happy to step in
Ben- that was very nice of you
Luke- thank you so let's all sit and get down to business
Ben- sounds good
We all sat down and talked out the details of everything but it seems like every aspect of the deal came with some disagreement. I have now been in this meeting for 4 hours and all I can think about is Lauren sitting in my office bored out of her mind.
Lu- I'm sorry but I was told that all this had been settled with Jack already so why all the upset about it now
Ben- because we don't want anything to do with Jack anymore we don't want anything to do with him if he's going to flake like this
Lu- it was an emergency
Carlos - on our way here we saw him drive past with some girl so what kind of emergency was that
Lu- oh
Ben- sweet of you to try to cover but we feel your brother is not the best to go into business with so we want to work with you so we need to change things around
Lu- I understand
And with that we all went back to discussing things some more and after forever we were finally done and they signed and I cleaned up the office before heading back to my office. Only to find lauren and destini just talking
Lu- what's going on here
Des- well I have today off since jack called off and she texted me cause she was bored and here we are
Lu- I see
La- that's ok isn't it
Lu- of course why wouldn't it be
La- I don't know that's why I'm asking
Lu - it's ok baby I'm just tired and I have a headache from that meeting and I just want to go home
La- ok
Des- I'll talk to you later girl bye luke
Lu - bye des
She walked away and I walked over to lauren
Lu- ready to go home little girl
