doctor's appointment

A few more months passed by and luke still is doing Jacks work as well so I don't ask him to come to my appointments anymore cause I see no use. Right now I just got called back into the room for my appointment and it happens to be when I'll find out the sex of the baby so I'm pretty excited.
Dr- hello lauren how we feeling today
La - pretty excited
Dr- that's good so I see the father still couldn't make it in today
La- nope
Dr- awww
We talked a little longer then there was a knock on the door and the doctor said to come in and I was expecting it to be a nurse or fellow doctor not luke.
La- you're here
Lu- I told you I'd make it to one eventually
La- and I told you I'll believe it when I see it
Lu - yeah yeah
Dr- so is the father
La - yes this is my boyfriend luke
Dr- nice to meet you luke and nice of you to show
Lu- nice to meet you too
He came over to me and gave me a quick kiss before just standing next to me as she put the jelly on my stomach to do the ultrasound.
Dr- so before I turn the computer for you two to see is there a specific gender were hoping for
La&lu- a girl
Dr- well looks like you're in luck
And with that she turned the computer so we can see we did in fact have a girl and then before anyone said anything the doctor finished up the tests and luke was then able to hear the heartbeat
Lu- oh my god
La- I told you it was my favorite part and now you see why
Lu- I'm sorry I haven't been to more of these
La- don't worry about it baby at least you're here now
Lu- I love you
La- and I love you
We listened to it a little while longer so luke can enjoy it all and we got a copy of the ultrasound then I got cleaned up and we went and had lunch.
La- I can't believe we are actually going to havea girl like we wanted
Lu- right and she's going to be beautiful just like her mommy
La- I don't know about the like me part but she will be a cutie I know that for sure
Lu- don't doubt yourself little girl otherwise I'll have to punish you
La- well that would only lead to playtime sir and we haven't had that in forever so if a punishment is what it takes then go ahead and punish me
I watched as his blue eyes got a shade darker and I heard a slight growl escape from him
Lu - you're in for it when we get home little girl
La - yes sir
