It's Kate's birthday today and I got her a black dress with frills on one side and a v-neck. I hope she likes it. I see her standing over the chasm as if she is in deep thought. I walk over to her and we talk about her birthday. She seems excited but in her eyes, I see sorrow and longing. Slowly she turns away as we watch the raging waters crash over the rocks p, towering over them. "Since your turning six, you start using weapons right?" "Yea" she replies. I ask her if she's excited, she looks at me, fakes a smile and says yes. I wonder why she isn't excited. I tell her I got her something I bet she'll like and she begins guessing all these random things she likes, not even guessing a dress. I laugh and say its a piece of clothing. She gasps,"why didn't you tell me! It's a dress isn't it? I say it's possible and she stares. "Fine it is. But no more information for you." We both giggle and suddenly hear the bell ring for lunch. We walk over to the cafeteria and grab sandwiches, juice, and an apple. We sit with Anna, and Cassandra. We immediately begin talking about how training went etc. Cassandra, as always, tells hilarious jokes that makes all of us crack up. I soon put aside the wonder of why Kate wasn't excited for weapon training.
