Chapter 3: "Four"

        *sigh* Training day for the 10 and unders. They are always a handful and with everything going on with Tris/Six and I, I don't think I'll have as much patience as usual. Well, it'll help with my training techniques. I'm only 18, they won't expect a lot. I hope... *gulp*.

        As all the kids start chatting it up, I see a little girl with the eyes of longing standing in the corner. I walk over and ask her for her name, "Kkkkk-ate" I guess she's not much of a fighter. I glance at the board and see she's paired with Katherine. Yikes, that's not good I tell Kate she's going against a really tough girl and she has to defend and dodge to even stand a chance. Kate nods and walks towards the center of the arena. The match begins...

        It begins with Katherine throwing the first punch and Kate being hit right in the jaw. "Oww!!!" Yelps Kate as she stumbles onto her feet. Kate attempts to throw a punch but misses wich throws her off balance.Katherine takes the chance and kickes Kate. Kate gets up, closes her eyes and throws a punch that hits Katherine in the stomach, her weak spot. Katherine falls and doesn't get up. The match is over and Kate walkes over to Katherine. She extends a hand and Katherine takes it to get up. "Good game, you're a good opponent," Kate says with a smile. All the others go and the list of winners appears on the board:

Round 1: Kate

Round 2: Mary

Round 3: Jen

Round 4: Jacob

Round 5: Samantha

Kate's POV:

        I hope Katherine is ok. I walked her to the infirmary and the doctors says she only has one broken rib, they said I hit her where she has a previous broken rib. What a coincednece!!!
