I find myself inside the infirmary. What happened? I ask myself. Jen tells me I got shot trying to protect Anna. Why would I do that? Wait... It doesn't make sense. I think back to the times I felt awful holding a gun, the times I closed my eyes and was able to see my opponents weak spot. Not, it can't be. Never mind, I can't think about that right now. What I have to think about right now is how to get back onto the battlefield.

I find the strength inside me to get up and put on my dauntless gear, grab my gun, and head outside. I see no one there, what could have happened? I hear an explosion in the compound. I head to where the explosion sounded to have come from and see many of my comrades on the floor. Where the explosion had really come from was....a limp body laying on the floor near the edge of the room, it was Anna. What had she done? I help many of the soldiers laying on the floor get back up. They told me about the supposed alliance/truce. Anna must've come here to explode the entire compound. Then why did she stay here in the range of the explosion? Oh no... She didn't, she couldn't. She must've tried to block the explosion with her body, she must've known that she couldn't do it...

-~=/Flashback\=~-

A vast field comes into view. I remember how we would play in vast fields, playing hide-'n-seek around apple trees. Anna would always find the best hiding places. Wait, where are we? This seems like Amity head quarters. But...how do I have such a memory. I've always been at dauntless but it seems as if I was at amity until the age of 8 or 9...

Maybe what Tim said to me back when this war hadn't begin was true... maybe I was from Amity. No, that's a bunch of nonsense. Tim was probably pulling a trick on me. He always used to do that to me. Then again, what if I was from Amity? I could check the Amity headquarters later. It'll be easy since we are allied with them.

I zap back into reality and see all the unconscious bodies scattered all around the room. One body distinctively triggers emotion, Jen. She lay unconscious on the ground near Anna.

I rush to her side...

Feel her pulse...

Nothing...

Tears swell in my eyes,

blurring my vision.

"Jen! Come on, you can't leave just yet! You still owe me my cafeteria food money!"

Well, I could've been more serious but seriously, she owed me that money...

And I need that money though.
