Chapter 12 [Edited]

Taemin, and all of the others were soon gone from the dorm. They were on their way to guest on a variety show actually, where a lucky fan would be able to win concert tickets.

Jaeun on the other hand, stayed home, relaxing. She was tired, and really just needed some rest.

After a few hours passed, a loud ringing noise came from her phone, and woke her up from her slumber. She groaned loudly and rolled onto her side.

«Geez... so loud...» she muttered quietly, reaching out to pick her phone up, and checked who was calling. To her surprise, it was her mother.

Her parents hadn't called her in months, so why would they suddenly call now? Anxiety filled her to the brim. What if they were home? What if they wanted to meet up?!

How would she even explain that she had gone and gotten drunk at a party, slept with the person that she hated the most, and ended gotten herself pregnant?

She could only imagine the looks of dissappointment on their faces once they'd see her baby bump.

But before she even managed to think anymore about every bad scenario that could happen, she subconciously pressed the 'accept' button, and almost shrieked out loud.

«H- hello?» Jaeun's voice was noticably shaky, as she started talking. «Jaeun! Hello~ We're back in Korea!» Her mother's loud voice could be heard from the other side, almost too obnoxious for Jaeun to bear.

Jaeun almost dropped to the floor. The thing she had feared the most, was confirmed. 

Her parents were back in Korea.

«I was wondering if you perhaps wanted to meet up with me and your father? Since we haven't seen, NOR heard anything from you in months~ What do you think? I also wonder how it's going at work~?»

Instead of the anxiety, Jaeun was now starting to feel annoyance. Her mother was suddenly acting so «caring»... If she really was this caring, then why didn't she contact her for months? She had even tried calling her, but she would never pick up.

«Uh- sure. But I'm kind of busy this week. I'll have to check if I have time- but I'll send you a message or something?»

The thing was, that Jaeun did NOT want to meet up with her parents. Not only because of her being pregnant, but also because of their lack of care towards her. They had just left her, without saying anything. 

She had forgiven them before for doing just that, but enough was enough! She was not planning to forgive them for anything anymore.

«Oh, sure, okay! Make sure to do so~ can't wait! Well, goodbye then~!» Her mother soon hung up, and Jaeun let her hand fall into her lap in defeat. 

This was the last thing she needed. 

But what was there to do... She'd have to talk this through with the others. Perhaps they had any ideas.

«Well, that was everything for today! Tune in next week for another episode of ***, and maybe you'll be the lucky winner of tickets to SHINee's concert!»

And that's a wrap. 

The SHINee members were finally done with filming, and were now free for the rest of the day.
Taemin hummed quietly as he was finally able to check his phone, but what he was not prepared for, was a message from Jaeun.

'Urgent! My parents want to meet up, they don't know I'm pregnant, what to do?'

He stared blankly at his phone, not knowing what to do at all. As he was thinking, Minho snuck up behind him and ruffled his hair violently. «Haha, why so gloomy all of a sudden?» 

His voice was loud. 

Too loud for Taemin's liking at the moment. 

«Apparently Jaeun's parents want to meet up, but they know nothing about me, nor her pregnancy. So... we kind of have a problem.»

Minho's smile slowly faded. He tilted his head, while also now staring blankly at the phone. «... Kind of a problem- that's more than that, isn't it? What if they tell on you to the media or something? Oof, what if they sue you- they can do that, can't they?»

Minho was obviously not helping, because Taemin soon just groaned loudly. All those things were worst case scenarios. If the media would find out, he would be done for. His career would go from what it was now, to ZERO.

The silence in the dorm was almost unbearable for Jaeun. The conversation with her mother had almost managed to make her cry again. She was scared. Her parents had a lot of power, as they had a lot of connections. 

They could easily end Taemin's career if they'd want to.

Before long had passed, she could finally hear the front door being opened, and sighed in relief.
«Jaeun- what's this with your parents?» Onew called out, once he had barged into the dorm. While they had all been in the van, Taemin had managed to tell everyone about Jaeun's parents wanting to see her. 

«Ah, they had wanted to see me, and I don't really know what to do about... this...» She motioned to her stomach and sighed once more. Everything was so complicated.  

«... What do I do...?» At this point, she felt scared. If they'd see her bump, she'd end up in so much trouble. Taemin would too.

«We'll... we'll figure something out.»
